Pittsburgh based producer RVIN (pronounced RAIN) marks his debut release of 2019 with ‘Skin’, a follow up to his successful progressive house single ‘Eye of the Storm’. Not one to tie himself down to one style or genre, RVIN goes wherever the wind takes him within his studio. RVIN comes from a background of playing drums for most of his early musical career, picking up production after being heavily influenced by the modern wave of electronic dance music. Known locally for powerhouse sets involving the use of live percussion, RVIN is a rising artist to keep your eyes on.
Differing from his previous release, the hard hitting original track ‘Skin’ is best described as a mystical and tropical journey guided by eerie but beautiful vocals, which tumults the tune into an explosive build. The drop cascades into an aggressive slew of engaging synths that furiously pump with power, before transitioning the listener into a flurry of bass house stabs. One can immediately imagine the song being lifted with the live energy of enormous crowds, riveting throughout the minds of would-be festival goers.
