Saint Müsik Talk Meaning Behind Name, New Music, Signature Sound & More!

No stranger to international success, Saint Müsik‘s recent run of releases include ‘You Give Love A Bad Name’, ‘My Heart Will Go On’ (which featured Alina Renae) & ‘Take My Hand’ – with previous support from the likes of Blasterjaxx & Sophie Francis.

Fast forward to the present, as the U.S artist makes his return & serves up his latest sure-fire production – ‘Back To Life’ feat. ZHIKO. We caught up with Saint Müsik to find out a little more about his latest output & plans for the year ahead!

Thanks for joining us today Saint Müsik & welcome to EDMHouseNetwork! How’s this year been for you, in light of current events?
“Everything is going great actually. I have my health and my family is well and safe so that is all that matters. A bit depressed I can’t go out and enjoy myself but that will be back to normal soon.”

Let’s dive straight in & chat a little about your latest release, ‘Back To Life’ – is this the first time you’ve worked with ZHIKO?
“Indeed, he was a pleasure to work with. Calvin is well spoken, kind and talented. Honestly, the best vocalist I’ve worked with.”

Along with ‘Back To Life’, your catalogue of releases have a distinctive sound – how would you describe it?
“I would say they don’t try to do anything they aren’t supposed to. That can be a bad thing too. Ideas are as original as we can make them and simply attempt to describe our experiences in life.”

In recent months, how much more challenging have you found it to produce / collaborate?
“I haven’t really been troubled by it. It was easier because most people were at their home, so response times were quicker and more creative results since everyone had built up feelings they wanted to release.”

is there a specific meaning behind your artist name, Saint Müsik?
“It’s understandably a religious play on words but more than that no real significant meaning other than being the Saint of Music! I was about to use my mashup and DJ name Beatpolice but went with something, I believe to me catchier.”

And finally as we move into the summer months, any further release plans you can share with our readers?
“Currently, working on a cover that has not been done yet, so excited about that. Some original ideas are in the mix for sure and a release by Now O Later coming soon on my label.”
