2023 is already off to a massive start for renowned bass music pioneer Skrillex, who seems to be gearing up for arguably the biggest year in his career to date. Following a mysterious teaser with little context from the legendary producer, which is widely perceived as confirmation for two albums dropping within the next 12 months, Skrillex has now finally unveiled ‘Rumble’ in full.
First appearing on Fred again..’s breakout Boiler Room in July of 2022, ‘Rumble’ quickly evolved into one of electronic music’s most anticipated unreleased IDs. A collaboration with UK super-producer Fred again.. and London’s very own Flowdan, it’s safe to assume that ‘Rumble’ will cement itself as one of the biggest bass singles of the year. Flowdan’s smooth bars can be heard front and center, juxtaposed by an infectious, high-pitched vocal sample and minimalistic bass production, making for an auditory result that is as infectious as it is hard-hitting.
