SoDown Unveils New Full-Length Compilation ‘Alive’ And Its Opening Single ‘Our Time’ With Kill Paris!

American bass music producer and saxophone player SoDown unveils a new full-length compilation record Alive. The Denver-based producer presents 10 versatile tracks on Alive, seamlessly blending live instrumentation with a bass-fueled flair. Including familiar cuts like “Pull The Trigger” with Bass Physics and “Right On Time” featuring Megan Hamilton, SoDown crafts an electrifying collection of his signature style on Alive

Although he’s shared singles from Alive in months past, SoDown saved the compilation’s opening track for his final reveal of the entire record: “Our Time” with Kill Paris introduces Alive, and it does so with irresistible groove and sophistication. Leading with a soulful chorus, SoDown and Kill Paris instantly lift our spirits before they surprise us with technical, plucky synths on a commanding midtempo beat. Together, SoDown and Kill Paris demonstrate the art of surprise on “Our Time,” leading the charge for a compelling listening experience.

The release’s message is simple: live in the moment. SoDown said a large portion of this project was written during the COVID-19 pandemic and the political turmoil around the world. “Alive is a reflection of the need for gratitude of the current moment, enjoyment of what is, and the realization of the actions and steps needed to move through troubling times,” SoDown said. Whether they’re soaking up all the goodness of SoDown’s saxophone performance or living for his penchant for colorful bass sounds and beat drops, Alive is the new soundtrack for everyday life as it inspires people everywhere to live in the moment.

Along with Alive’s release, SoDown will kick off his US tour on Thursday, October 7 in Columbia, MO. See tour dates below — tickets available here.

Sir Ivan Taps Giuseppe D. For Love Is The Piece Remix as the remix campaign continues with a new Peaceman Music release

Sir Ivan, Top 10 Billboard and Music Week Recording Artist, has released a new track, this time appointing Giuseppe D. for a remix of his January single, Love Is The Piece. At his core, Sir Ivan is a philanthropist and advocate, with his work within the music space serving as a further extension of that identity. Bringing visibility to themes that resonate strongly within today’s societal landscape, his discography continues to channel peace-focused messages: a call for unity, positivity, and compassion within Electronic Music and beyond.

Sir Ivan Continues His Peace-Focused Message Through Love Is The Piece

Building a career where passion and intent meet, Sir Ivan has developed a unique presence on the scene. In demanding more from his musical endeavours, seeking to ensure each track operates beyond modern sound design, Sir Ivan continues to reinforce his voice. Commenting on humanity and the dilemmas we continue to encounter, his tracks strike a balance between meaning and dancefloor function.

With each step, he maintains his mission to inspire positivity, whether teaming up with Grammy Award-winners like Jason Evigan, Peter Rafelson, and Tracy Young, or reimagining anti-war songs. His Peaceman identity carries through as a consistent thread that underpins his work and strengthens his commitment to taking his vision across dancefloors, cultures, and generations.

Giuseppe D. Joins The Love Is The Piece Remix Campaign

In this latest release, Sir Ivan seeks to expand the reach of his sentiments further, welcoming the opportunity to set his message within a fresh sonic framework. Having kicked off the remix campaign with a rework from Alex M.O.R.P.H., a well-respected name in Electronic Music, he now extends the same welcome to Giuseppe D., a New Jersey-born Producer and DJ whose career spans over three decades, shaped by Miami’s nightlife scene.

Through his reinterpretation, Love Is The Piece receives an EDM-focused treatment while preserving the emotional weight at the core of Sir Ivan’s original.

Giuseppe D. Gives Love Is The Piece A New Dancefloor Version

Featuring driving beats, uplifting synths, groove-led textures, warm basslines, and Sir Ivan’s vocals, Giuseppe D.’s version of Love Is The Piece leans into a more dynamic sound. The result is a track built for peak-time sets, designed to bring both movement and meaning to the dancefloor.

As the remix campaign for Love Is The Piece continues, each rework is built to extend the track’s reach. Designed to reach new audiences and take on new dancefloors, the remixes push Sir Ivan’s vision forward while reinforcing his call for peace, unity, and universal love on a global scale.

More Love Is The Piece Remixes Are Currently In Development

With more remixes currently in development across a diverse range of EDM styles, Sir Ivan continues to build around Love Is The Piece while keeping its message connected to his creative values. As he retains his alignment with peace-focused ideals and meaningful messaging, Sir Ivan remains an Artist committed to using music as a platform for connection and expression.

The Emotional Side of Dance Music Still Exists — And MC4D’s Debut Album Proves It

Emotional storytelling has always existed in dance music, but few artists are approaching it quite like this right now…

A post shared by MC4D (@mc4dmusic)

On their debut album COMPASS, MC4D blends folk-inspired songwriting, acoustic instrumentals, and melodic sounds into a project that feels both nostalgic and completely their own. Across the album, the brother duo leans fully into the emotional, Americana-inspired sound they’ve quietly made their signature over the years — and the result feels immersive from start to finish.

For me, there are moments throughout COMPASS that tap into the same emotional space that Avicii’s music makes me feel — the kind of feeling that instantly pulls me back and reminds me why I fell in love with electronic music in the first place.

That feeling comes through most clearly on Hey Son’, which feels like a subtle nod to Hey Brother’ — made even more full-circle by Aloe Blacc’s feature on the track.

The emotional warmth carries throughout the rest of the album too. Tracks like “Still Got Time” and “Lay Your Head” continue leaning into the album’s folk-inspired songwriting and melodic atmosphere, while songs like “Afterlife” (my personal fav) bring some of the album’s biggest emotional highs without losing the grounded, personal feeling that makes the project work so well.

There’s also something incredibly visual about the way COMPASS sounds. A lot of these songs feel like late summer nights, mountain drives, festival sunsets, old memories, and the kind of moments you wish you could stay in a little longer.

More than anything, COMPASS feels like an album made by artists who fully understand their identity. Nothing here feels trend-chasing or manufactured for the sake of fitting into a specific moment in dance music. MC4D knows exactly what kind of emotion they want these songs to carry, and that confidence is what makes the album resonate so deeply from start to finish.

Between its folk-inspired storytelling, emotional warmth, and immersive atmosphere, MC4D has created a debut album that feels both timeless and completely their own. If you’re looking for something that reconnects you with the emotional side of dance music, COMPASS is absolutely worth the listen.

Far&High Return to Unheard Music With ‘Coda EP’

Far&High Return to Unheard Music as ‘Coda EP’ adds five new tracks to the label’s catalogue

Unheard Music continues its journey of artistic freedom and underground expression with a new release from founding artists Far&High. The duo return to the label with ‘Coda EP’, a five-track release that brings together Indie Dance, modern House, and subtle Electronica while keeping the focus on club-ready production.

The Far&High Coda EP presents some of the duo’s most refined work to date, with tracks built around driving grooves, textured production, and a sound designed for both intimate club spaces and larger dancefloor settings. Across the release, Far&High balance emotional detail with direct club function, keeping the EP connected to the underground identity behind Unheard Music.

‘Coda EP’ Reflects a Closing Chapter for Far&High

Speaking about the release, Far&High describe ‘Coda EP’ as a personal project connected to a specific creative period:

“This is a deeply personal EP for us. The tracks were written in 2025, with some ideas originating back in 2024. The title is no coincidence; it marks a clear line under this chapter of Far&High. In closing one door, we open many more. This is not an end or a beginning, but a moment in time that deserves attention. This is CODA!”

That context gives Coda EP by Far&High a stronger narrative beyond its tracklist. The release does not present itself as a reset or a final statement, but as a marker within the duo’s wider creative path. It captures where their sound currently stands while leaving space for what comes next.

A Five-Track Release With a Bandcamp-Only Cut

The EP also includes an exclusive Bandcamp-only track titled ‘Repeat It’, giving the release an additional cut available solely through the platform. The decision fits naturally with Unheard Music’s artist-led approach, where distribution, format, and release identity are treated as part of the wider creative process.

For Unheard Music, the release also carries added weight because Far&High are not only returning artists, but part of the label’s foundation. The duo co-founded Unheard Music alongside pizzaaftersex and Mona Chrome in 2025, placing them at the center of the label’s early identity and its focus on freedom over formulas.

Unheard Music Continues Building Beyond Releases

With a creative background spanning over 25 years in electronic music, Far&High continue to work beyond fixed genre boundaries while keeping their production connected to club functionality. On ‘Coda EP’, that approach comes through in the way the release moves between melodic detail, groove-led structure, and the kind of arrangement choices built for DJs.

Beyond recorded output, Unheard Music is also developing events, podcasts, video mixes, and upcoming off-site sessions across global locations including Dubai, London, and New York. These projects support the label’s wider aim of treating music as culture and community, not only as digital content.

With ‘Coda EP’, Far&High return to Unheard Music with a release that connects their own creative transition to the label’s broader direction. The five-track project reinforces the label’s underground focus while giving Far&High a clear point of reflection within their ongoing work.
