Starlight Festival 2026 debuts at the Pyramids of Giza as EXIT and P+US launch a new Egypt festival concept this October

Three-time European Best Major Festival winner EXIT is bringing its globally recognised festival experience to Egypt this October with the launch of Starlight Festival 2025, a brand-new multi-day concept taking place from October 8th-11th near the Great Pyramids of Giza in partnership with Venture Lifestyle and its electronic music platform P+US. The debut edition will centre on two main festival nights on October 9th and 10th near the pyramids, with opening and closing events taking place across selected locations in Cairo. The first lineup includes Charlotte de Witte, Michael Bibi, Adriatique, Vintage Culture, Pete Tong, WhoMadeWho, and Enrico Sangiuliano, alongside more regional and international artists. With EXIT expanding its global festival presence and P+US already connected to large-scale electronic music projects in Egypt, Starlight Festival 2026 introduces a new festival concept tied to both electronic music and destination-led tourism.

The first Starlight Festival 2026 lineup opens with Charlotte de Witte, Michael Bibi, and Adriatique, placing three major names from different sides of electronic music at the front of the festival’s Egypt debut. Charlotte de Witte will perform in Egypt for the first time, adding a major techno booking to the October launch. Michael Bibi is also confirmed to play near the pyramids for the first time, bringing a major house name into the festival’s opening edition. For a debut event tied to EXIT and P+US, the lead names help frame Starlight Festival 2026 as a full electronic music festival announcement, not only a location-led event.

Adriatique return with direct history at the location after previously performing near the Great Pyramids of Giza to nearly 10,000 people. Their appearance links Starlight Festival 2025 to Egypt’s recent run of large-scale electronic music events near landmark sites, where international bookings, tourism, and production-led concepts have become increasingly connected. The festival’s main nights on October 9th and 10th are also part of a wider multi-day format, with opening and closing events taking place across selected locations in Cairo.

The lineup continues with Vintage Culture, Pete Tong, WhoMadeWho, and Enrico Sangiuliano, giving the first edition a broader electronic direction without overstating the announcement. Vintage Culture adds a house-focused name, Pete Tong brings long-running relevance across radio, events, and international club culture, WhoMadeWho brings a live electronic component, and Enrico Sangiuliano adds another techno name to the festival’s first run. With regional and international artists also included, Starlight Festival 2026 enters Egypt with a lineup that reads as a full festival announcement, not a one-off show near the pyramids.

Starlight Festival 2026 Sets Its Main Nights Near the Pyramids With Cairo Events Around the Weekend

Starlight Festival 2026 will run from October 8th-11th, with the two main festival nights scheduled for October 9th and 10th near the Great Pyramids of Giza. The wider schedule starts with an opening event before moving into the main Giza nights, then closes with another event across selected locations in Cairo. Instead of keeping the debut limited to one site, EXIT, P+US, and Venture Lifestyle are using the October dates to introduce a multi-day format that connects the pyramids area with the city around it.

More than five stages and zones are planned for Starlight Festival 2025, alongside a VR experience that was originally unveiled at Expo Dubai. Those additions move the festival beyond a standard headline setup, especially with the main nights sitting within a larger weekend structure. The format also reflects the way electronic music events in Egypt have started to sit closer to tourism, large-scale production, and destination-based festival planning, where the location is part of the event identity without being the only reason for the announcement.

Although the pyramids are central to the festival’s visual identity, Starlight Festival 2026 will be staged from a specially designated location near the site, not directly at the monuments themselves. The Great Pyramids of Giza will serve as the backdrop, with the event location planned around the area’s historical importance and protected status. For a festival launching near one of the world’s most recognised heritage sites, that setup draws a line between using the landmark as part of the event setting and treating the monument area as a festival ground.

EXIT and P+US Connect Starlight Festival 2026 to Egypt’s Growing Music Tourism Market

The launch of Starlight Festival 2026 also places EXIT inside a wider push toward destination-led festival projects, with Egypt positioned as the next stop in its expanding international activity. Dušan Kovačević, founder and CEO of EXIT Festival, described the project as an opportunity to bring the festival’s concept near one of the world’s most recognised historical sites while presenting Egypt’s cultural heritage to an international audience. His statement also points to the role of Venture Lifestyle as the regional partner behind the launch, especially given the company’s existing work across large-scale cultural, nightlife, and live entertainment events in the Middle East.

For Venture Lifestyle and P+US, Starlight Festival 2025 follows a growing run of electronic music projects connected to landmark locations in Egypt. The company has previously worked on events such as Anyma’s Quantum Genesys at the Great Pyramids of Giza, placing P+US within the region’s larger movement toward production-focused electronic music events. Rabih Mokbel, founder and CEO of Venture Lifestyle and P+US, also linked the launch to music tourism, noting the sector’s global value of over $100 billion and the potential for the festival to attract international visitors to Egypt.

Tickets for Starlight Festival 2026 are available through the official Starlight Festival website. The debut edition will take place from October 8th-11th, with the two main festival nights scheduled near the Great Pyramids of Giza on October 9th and 10th, followed by opening and closing events across selected locations in Cairo.

An aerial shot at Tomorrowland of a massive blue and yellow Swedish flag bearing a portrait of Avicii and the words "One Day You Will Remember" and "Tim Bergling 1989–2018" being held aloft by hundreds of fans on the festival grounds, in a moving tribute to the late artist.

Tomorrowland honours Avicii with the return of a tribute experience, original artefacts, remastered live sets and an exclusive festival collection.

Fifteen years after his first unforgettable performance on the MainStage in 2011, Tomorrowland once again pays tribute to Tim “Avicii” Bergling, the artist who helped shape the sound of a generation and bring electronic music into the mainstream.

THE AVICII TRIBUTE EXPERIENCE

At Tomorrowland Belgium 2026, festivalgoers will once again be invited into a dedicated Avicii Tribute Experience: a 144-square-meter immersive installation celebrating the music, creativity and legacy of one of dance music’s most influential artists. At the heart of the experience is a large-scale LED screen featuring an exclusive audiovisual piece that brings together iconic festival moments, intimate studio footage and personal creative moments, offering a unique perspective on Avicii not only as a performer, but also as a songwriter, producer and musical visionary.

The experience combines never-before-seen imagery, personal stories and audiovisual storytelling from Avicii’s Tomorrowland journey, inviting visitors to reconnect with the artist behind the music and the moments that defined a generation.

For the first time ever, original artefacts from Tim “Avicii” Bergling’s personal collection will be exhibited outside the walls of the Avicii Experience Museum in Stockholm. Several iconic items connected to Avicii’s career and creative process will be on display, offering fans a rare glimpse into his world.

Visitors will also have access to a dedicated Avicii space featuring exclusive collection and limited-edition pieces created especially for Tomorrowland Belgium 2026. Access to the experience is limited and requires advance reservation.

AVICII X TOMORROWLAND COLLECTION

To accompany the tribute experience, Tomorrowland will launch an exclusive Avicii x Tomorrowland collection, available online and at Tomorrowland Belgium 2026.

Inspired by the visual language of sound, the collection incorporates artwork based on sound waves and the Doppler effect, translating Avicii’s musical legacy into a contemporary visual identity. The limited collection serves as a tribute to his enduring influence on electronic music and festival culture.

REMASTERED TOMORROWLAND SETS IN SPATIAL AUDIO

As part of the tribute, fans around the world will be able to relive some of Avicii’s most legendary Tomorrowland performances through newly remastered recordings of his 2012, 2014 and 2015 sets. Available via Apple Music and the Tomorrowland App, the sets have been remastered in Spatial Audio, allowing listeners to experience these iconic performances with a new level of depth and immersion.

A DEFINING TOMORROWLAND LEGACY

Avicii made his Tomorrowland debut in 2011, surprising festivalgoers on the MainStage with “Levels”, a defining moment in his career as the track had not yet been officially released. He returned in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, with his final MainStage appearance becoming one of the most memorable performances in Tomorrowland history.

Following his passing, Avicii’s connection with Tomorrowland has remained stronger than ever. In 2018, festivalgoers paid tribute to him during Nicky Romero’s MainStage set, when a giant Swedish flag bearing his image was spread across the crowd in an emotional moment of remembrance.

Today, his music continues to resonate throughout the festival grounds, with artists across the line-up regularly honoring his legacy through their performances. His iconic anthem “Levels” has been voted the number one track in the Tomorrowland Top 1000 three times, cementing its place as one of the most beloved tracks in the history of dance music.
