Swedish House Mafia season is well upon us, with the legendary dance trio having just revealed yet another massive single off their anticipated forthcoming album ‘Paradise Again,’ the completion of which they announced on Twitter last week. Following collaborations with the likes of The Weeknd, Ty Dolla $ign, and 070 Shake, Swedish House Mafia have now teamed up with acclaimed musician Sting to share ‘Redlight’, an explosive dance record.
Dark and unforgiving, ‘Redlight’ follows the sonic aesthetic already established by Swedish House Mafia’s recent singles, combining eerie dance music rhythms with radio-ready vocals. Between the rumbling basslines and minimal production, the tune features an ethereal section with the help of Sting’s vocal talents, who interpolates The Police’s 1978 classic ‘Roxanne’.
Anticipation is rising as we’re getting closer and closer to the release of Swedish House Mafia’s brand new album, and judging by the material so far, we can’t wait to experience it in its entirety.
