After 3 and a half years, the wait is finally over. Ever since the trio of Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso returned to the stage at Ultra Music Festival 2018, the world has been waiting for Swedish House Mafia to drop new music since their previous release of ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ in 2012.
The rumours started to come together on the 10th of July when a poster showcasing their iconic three dots logo appeared in Melbourne with the date 16.07.21. The response to this was sceptical until on the 12th of July, the trio updated their own website for the first time in 2 years, signalling that something was on the horizon. On the same day, posters appeared in Stockholm, New York, and London, further escalating the hype.
Now in what seems to be a full confirmation of new music, Swedish House Mafia, Ty Dolla Sign, and 070 Shake will be performing on The Tonight Show, starring Jimmy Fallon on the 19th of July. Not only this, but the trio have added a brand new post to their social media’s along with updating their profile picture. All of these things put together have all but confirmed that the new single ‘Lifetime’ is set to drop this week and the dance music world is waiting in heavy anticipation.
