The release of his 2014 hit single ‘Gecko’ in 2014, which was later remade into ‘Overdrive’ with a vocal contribution from Becky Hill, propelled Oliver Heldens into EDM stardom. Fast forward to 2020 and the Dutch DJ and producer is one of electronic music’s biggest superstars with hundreds of millions of streams under his name, numerous performances on the biggest festival stages of the planet, as well as collaborations with the likes of Tiësto, Sofi Tukker, and Moguai.
Now, Oliver Heldens is back with another one of his massive remixes, displaying his spin on SZA’s and Justin Timberlake’s ‘The Other Side’. The song was released earlier this year as the lead single from the companion soundtrack of animated movie Trolls World Tour, and it’s a synth-filled, 80s-inspired vibe. Oliver Heldens certainly does justice to the original with his sparkly production, infusing it with his usual catchy house rhythms and groovy basslines.
