Although one of the hardest working and innovative acts of the past few decades, Kanye West has certainly damaged his public image with his multiple outbursts over the past couple of years. Now over the past couple of weeks, Kanye West, who has legally changed his name to Ye, has once again come under scrutiny for anti-semitic comments made which has led to multiple brands cutting ties with him, including his talent agency, Adidas, Balenciaga, and bank JP Morgan.
In light of the recent controversy, dance music duo The Chainsmokers have now announced that they would be removing their 2014 single ‘Kanye’ from all streaming services. Although a major inspiration for the duo in their early years, The Chainsmokers do not want to associate themselves with this behavior and want to remove all links they have with the rapper.
