On December 4, global superstar DJ, producer, and live instrumentalist Timmy Trumpet released his highly anticipated debut album ‘MAD WORLD’. Inspired by the world we live in; ‘Mad World’ is the official soundtrack of 2020 – an ode to an era we will never forget. This 18-track epic collection includes collaborations with R3HAB, Scooter, Vini Vici, Vengaboys, and Gabry Ponte, and features 11 brand-new tracks never heard anywhere else before.
“I’ve been a trained Jazz musician and composer most of my life and I’ve been dreaming of the day when I finally release an artist album. I went into this experience with no limitations or expectations on myself or what others may expect from me or have come to know of me” says Timmy.
“This album represents all of me, and all of what inspires me the most. The people, my fans, my family, my friends. The people that make everything we go through in life worth it no matter what challenges we face. They make me who I am, and this is what I have made for them in return. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I’ve loved making it.”
For the album cover, Timmy turned to his fans to help create a collage of pictures that tell the story of what the experiences of this year mean to them. Timmy personally sought through thousands of images reading the attached stories written by people all over the world. It’s this attention to detail that is evident in this body of work, a well-defined and definitive collection of electronica that encompasses a plethora of sub-genres. Timeless and timely, this is the album his fans have been patiently waiting for.
2020 has been a monstrous year for Timmy Trumpet as he continues his climb to the very top of global music scene at an unrelenting pace. His very first livestream clocked over 7 Million views becoming one of the most watched events in electronic music this year and more recently he landed in the Top 10 of DJ Mag Top 100, a feat managed only by a very small list of artists in the past decade.
In the lead up to the release of MAD WORLD, Timmy dropped the title track, ‘Mad World,’ in collaboration with Italian DJ/producer Gabry Ponte, along with the music video featuring stunning visuals filmed in Philadelphia just one day after the pivotal 2020 U.S. Presidential election. He also released his second single off MAD WORLD, “Paul Is Dead,” with German techno legends Scooter on November 2.
