ULTRA Beach Costa Del Sol Welcomes House And Techno RESISTANCE Artists To A 12th-Century Spanish Fortress!
On Saturday, August 20, ULTRA’s esteemed underground concept RESISTANCE will host a stage at the legendary Sohail Castle for the inaugural ULTRA Beach Costa del Sol. Located in Fuengirola, Málaga, the majestic castle has been a popular sight-seeing location for hundreds of years, attracting all kinds of visitors with its exceptional sea views. Now, the fortress will add to its illustrious history by playing host to a bevy of house and techno music lovers.
The RESISTANCE lineup at ULTRA Beach Costa del Sol contains a cohort of world techno leaders. Performers include Drumcode founder and Swedish techno legend Adam Beyer, renowned Italian techno DJ/producer Joseph Capriati, genre-blending British purveyor Ben Sterling, Italian tech-house pioneer Blackchild, German-born and Jamaican-raised DJ Melanie Ribbe, and Spain’s own dynamic underground DJ Sandro Bianchi.
ULTRA Beach Costa del Sol comes off the heels of the latest edition ULTRA Europe, which took place at Park Mladeži in Split, Croatia from July 8 –10, 2022 and welcomed more than 160,000 attendees from 141 countries. Europe’s premier destination music festival featured four stages, including the RESISTANCE Stage, which featured performances from underground heavyweights including Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, Marco Carola, Amelie Lens and Nina Kraviz. Following ULTRA Europe, Destination ULTRA continued its house and techno offerings on Tuesday, July 12 at Carpe Diem Beach Club with RESISTANCE Hvar, headlined by ANNA and Ilario Alicante. The next night, Destination ULTRA continued its underground programming with the RESISTANCE Destination ULTRA Closing Party at a fortress on the island of Vis called Fort George. UK selector Michael Bibi fired off house and techno beats as revelers danced through the majestic location, which was built 200 years ago. Ultra Beach Costa Del Sol will be the perfect follow-up location for the next RESISTANCE castle affair.

The Australian producer, also known as Josh Sytema, has developed a sound connected to hypertrap, dubstep, and Y2K-influenced bass music, with one of his flips reaching Coachella 2026 before he had released an original track. Subtronics Stands Out Among Returning Ultra Europe Regulars
While several Phase 2 additions are familiar names for Ultra Europe, Subtronics still gives the 2026 announcement one of its more interesting talking points. He played Ultra Europe 2024, appearing on the same day as AFROJACK and DJ Snake, so his 2026 booking is not a debut. What makes it worth noting is the context around the booking.
