Volac is pulling up to Insomniac Records with a sweltering house record by the name of ‘Muchacho’.
Volac wrapped up a rather productive 2019 with a two-track offering, and now they’re cruising back over onto the catalog with their latestappearance, “Muchacho.” Riding out on a slinky, sweat-inducing groove, Volac’s new single is guaranteed to make you feel like you’re being transported to a tropical hotspot somewhere along the equator. The track flirts around with sultry Latin vocal samples that are plotted perfectly between shimmery chords, clanging percussive hits, whirring synthlines, and a tribal flute melody calling to mind the lush, exotic greenery from a faraway jungle.
“We’re so happy to be back at Insomniac with our new summer track ‘Muchacho,’” says Volac. “Hope you’ll get the positive vibe and enjoy it.” Over the years, the Russian duo has carved out a solid corner for themselves in the bass house space, known for crafting chunky grooves that always have an irresistible grit to them. The last appearance they made on Insomniac Records was a double-sided single called ‘Feel The Beat / Super Cute,’ which saw them rounding up like-minded producers Neon Steve and Stace Cadet to put in work on the collab tip, respectfully. Both records recently returned by way of a proper remix package that featured takes from Bellecour, BYOR, Black V Neck, MKJAY and Morelia. On top of their stints at Insomniac, Volac has placed premium club cuts for stables from the likes of Musical Freedom, Night Bass, Medium Rare, Confession and more. With “Muchacho,” though, we are shown a new shade from them that arrives just in time for the sunny season.
