What Happened To: W&W – Love High High

‘Love High High’ is without a doubt the most requested W&W ID of all time, and rightfully so. The Dutch bigroom heavyweights W&W are of course known for their anthemic bigroom house sounds and lately their verge into the world of hard dance music. But on the other hand, W&W are also well versed in the waters of progressive house/progressive trance. Some tracks like ‘The One’ or the co-produced ‘We Are One’ by Hardwell & Alexander Tidebrink are the prime examples but for me personally ‘Love High High’ gets the award it thoroughly deserves.

Dreamy plucks kickstart the track in style and after a couple of seconds, the melody starts introducing itself. The evergreen vocal follows in repeating the same 3 words as the title suggests: ‘Love High High’. The main melody keeps playing in the break and slowly after a signature W&W buildup follows. The drop features a melody we’ve been talking about recently and after approximately 30 seconds of drop’s duration the second break begins playing that isn’t much different than the first one but still keeps the vocals intact. The second drop is very much the same.

‘Love High High’ was played on numerous big festivals such as Ultra Music Festival in Argentina, Tomorrowland in Brasil and also by none other than Mark Sixma at A State Of Trance 700 in Utrecht. Hardwell also played it on his now legendary Hardwell On Air and it got a feature on W&W’s esteemed Mainstage Podcast.

We won’t be getting the track anytime soon because W&W couldn’t get the original vocal sample cleared. That is the sole problem that is bestowed upon the Dutch duo and they themselves confirmed on Twitter that the track will not be coming out. All we can do now is to look forward to their future releases.
