London based electronic music artist Nathassia brought us the incredibly catchy track ‘Goddess’. Her first big break out single was ‘Turning Headz’ which gained over 100,000 streams on Spotify since it’s release in 2015 and has remained her most streamed single since then. Nathassia Devine is a Dutch-born singer, songwriter and electronic music artist currently residing in London, UK. She has been described as “The new face of dance culture” and “This generations Kate Bush”. Nathassia made history as being the first electronic music artist to perform at Valley of the Kings in Luxor Temple, Egypt at the Nefertiti International Fashion Festival.
The original song is about an orgy of celebrity Goddesses: Athena, Venus, Diana, Inanna & Laxmi who join Nathassia for a truly inspired performance of the arts & divine femininity. Perfect for the millennium age. All six of the “goddesses” were filmed on location in Tunisia, Cadiz & London for an astonishing merge of dance, colors & cultures.
On remix duty this time is UK based duo Wideboys, which take the original break beat style track and flip it on it’s head turning it onto a house number. Once you click play, Wideboys treat us to the iconic kick and clap loops that are ever present in the house music genre and then slowly but surely build towards the first break down. Incorporating the vocals and tone of the original but still giving us that signature Wideboys style shows us why this duo have been in the game for so long as remix experts. This remix is topped off perfectly as the duo use incredibly powerful and catchy synths along with the original vocals for the drop.
