Youssef Khalifa, who may be more known under his alias YK, is a dance music DJ/Producer from Cairo, Egypt. Travelling across Europe seeing multiple DJ’s performing live made his love for music production reach a level that he had not expected. He instantly fell in love with dance music production and has showed his dedication by moving to Barcelona to study music production full time. Always open to multiple genres, YK likes to try incorporate multiple styles of dance music into each new track that he works on.
His latest single ‘Can’t Tame Us’ is the perfect example of feel good summer vibes with infectious melodies and memorable synths. As we click play, we are blessed with wonderful atmospheric sounds which set the tone for the rest of the single. The stunning vocals from Mariami fill out the frequency spectrum perfectly as we begin to get eager in anticipation for the drop which doesn’t disappoint.
