Making his debut in 2017 with the release of ‘Funkt’, Zkosta has been on a mission to deliver funky fresh house beats to the masses and he has certainly achieved that. Being an avid fan of everything dance music for several years now, Zkosta has never limited his sound to one genre and that is evident as you take a listen to his catalog, with the American artist churning out hits within the genres of Melbourne bounce, future house, bass house, and electro house. 2021 came with Zkosta incorporating some underground influences into his sound, leading us to his first release of 2022, a massive 5-track EP titled ‘Club Breakup’ released on the Soniquarium imprint.
Packed to the brim with dancefloor heaters, this EP is sure to get those party vibes kicked into full swing. The EP kicks off in fine style with ‘Hood To Block’, a bassline driving tech house single that acts as the perfect opener that sets the tone for what’s to come. Up next comes ‘Free’ and that continues that tech vibe but with a darker melodic tone. Yet again taking that tech vibe and pushing it one step further, ‘Stfu’ uses electro influences to give us a fresh floor filler. ‘Brother and Her’ then comes up before we close the EP out in an amazing way with ‘Our Community’. All singles with that tech groove tie this EP together but it’s in the subtle sounds and influences used that makes this a truly amazing EP from start to finish.
