27 year old Swedish talent Alesso recently took his Instagram story to answer some of the most frequently asked questions from his fans. The questions vary in topics but mainly it’s about his music and where he is going with it. Below are the main takeaways from the q&a session.
1. “When will you release a new song?”
He confirmed that a new single will be released in just over two weeks time, June 14th.
2. “When will you release Progressio Mixtape Vol 2?”
No date has been set but he confirmed that it would definitely be released before the end of the year.
3. “When are you going to release more progressive house hits and not sellout to pop?”
This is quite a confrontational question, which Alesso answered in a great fashion. He said “I released a mixtape that got pretty much only that sound your asking for. I will always jump back and forth in sounds cause I’ve always done that and it;’s fun!” This answer shows how Alesso wants to break away from his signature sound and experiment with each release, but also not forget about his true style.
4. “Thoughts on the new Avicii music?”
As a fellow Swede, Alesso was able to express his true feelings on this subject with no negativity. “Good question. I see it in 2 ways, it’s great we get to hear what he worked on, but sad cause I feel it would have sounded different if he would have finished it. “I took a class for 6 weeks when I was 15 years old. That thought me the basics but the rest is self learned”. This response proves how creativity and talent cannot be taught, rather it must be brought out from you as one of the most talented producers in the electronic dance music scene has taught himself how to produce.
