Having produced music for over 35 years, in 2021 Ricky Smith decided to create a brand new project for him to release even more music on. Named Arkeenia, this is a project that blurs the lines between a wide variety of influences; ranging from the punch of modern EDM, down to the interesting textures of trance and other styles. The project kicked off with ‘Daddy Cool’ and now with momentum behind it, the first release for Arkeenia has come titled ‘Automatic Lover’.
‘Automatic Lover’ is packed with tons of uplifting vibes, making it the perfect song to forget about those winter blues. It features beautiful atmospheric vocals that add tons of depth to the single but it’s with the male vocals that it really kicks into the next gear. Ricky Smith is an English music writer/producer who has been writing electronic dance music since 1985 and had his first single released under the name NEW EGYPT in 1987. Over the years he has produced music under multiple different names such as OZ BEAT and The Digital Blondes. Now he has created the Arkeenia project as he has always had a passion for high energy euro-dance music and has always wanted to try and break into the commercial holiday pop scene.
