BLKD OUT have been making strides within the electronic music scene with their signature g-house/trap style of productions. After their very successful single ‘BOUJEE‘, they followed it up with a solid release ‘How It Feels’. The Canadian duo have revolutionized their signature style as once you start listening to their singles, you can’t think of any other artist replicating them. The release of this 4-track EP ‘NONFCTN’ keeps the momentum rolling and sets them up in a perfect position to take over the electronic dance music scene.
The first single ‘Didn’t Know’ sets the tone for this EP perfectly. Incorporating their signature g-house and trap style with catchy vocal samples and innovative synth work kick off this EP tremendously. For the second single they sample the very popular single ‘Nevermind’ from Dennis Lloyd, putting their own creative deep house spin on it. ‘Come Back’ showcases just how deep and groovy this duo can take it as they aim for a more housier single which is achieved with ease. ‘Hold You’ tops off this EP perfectly as they take the previous style from ‘Come Back’ and give it a more upbeat feel which proves the range of talents this duo have within the studio.
