Boomtown Reveals First Details of 2027 Edition
Boomtown has revealed its first major artist announcements for 2027, with BICEP and Noisia set to headline the festival’s 18th edition at Matterley Estate in Hampshire next August.
The UK’s magical Boomtown returns in 2027 for its 18th edition, with BICEP and Noisia confirmed as its first major artist announcements. Taking place from 11–15 August at Matterley Estate in Hampshire, the festival is gearing up for another huge year, with a fresh theme and new developments.
The ‘WILD STYLE’ chapter will welcome Belfast-born duo BICEP to the Boomtown fields for the very first time, as they bring their renowned live show to the Lion’s Den stage. The duo are set to deliver a spectacular finale on Sunday 15 August, making their debut at one of the festival’s most iconic stages.

With their third studio album, ‘SLUG’, scheduled for release in late January 2027, BICEP’s appearance at Boomtown is undoubtedly set to be one of the most anticipated moments on the UK’s 2027 rave calendar.
Speaking about their debut at the festival, the duo says: “After years of trying to make it work, we are very excited to finally be bringing the live show to Boomtown to close the Lion’s Den in 2027.”
NOISIA will return to Boomtown in 2027 following their surprise reunion, bringing all three members back together for the first time since their farewell in 2022. The drum and bass legends will close the HYDRO XL stage on Sunday 15 August, showcasing new material and reaffirming their status as pioneers of modern bass music during the final dance of the festival’s 18th edition.

The last time NOISIA appeared on the Boomtown line-up was four years ago, when Thijs took over the Origin stage. Speaking of that moment and and the significance of the reunion at Boomtown, Thijs says:
“The last time I played Boomtown was during our farewell tour. I remember looking out at 35,000 people filling the entire bowl, there to say goodbye to us. It was an incredible moment, but all I could think was that it should have been the three of us on that stage. So it feels pretty special that we get to come back and play Boomtown together after all.”
What’s New At Boomtown 2027
Over the years, Boomtown has established itself as one of the most immersive festivals out there. Each year, it delivers a unique production on a scale few other events in the world can match.
Stepping into Boomtown is unlike any other festival, with the entire event feeling as though it’s been pulled straight out of a fairy tale. However, the organisers’ vision doesn’t stop there, as they continue to develop the festival and explore new ways to elevate the experience.

In 2027, the organisers will unveil ‘The Transportal’, a new transport system connecting Downtown with Copperwood Heights and Thrutopia. Powered exclusively by green energy, this new addition will offer visitors a new way to explore the realm and travel between its districts.
Adding to Boomtown’s immersive environment, Anara Forest will receive a new look in 2027. From hidden discoveries among the trees to a fresh 360° audio-visual journey, the space is set to become one of the festival’s standout landmarks.

Next year’s developments follow the festival’s expansion in 2026, which saw Boomtown spread across the rolling hills, valleys, natural amphitheatres and sprawling woodlands of the Matterley Estate. The festival city underwent a makeover, bringing together six districts, 12 main stages, more than 50 hidden venues and thousands of creative performers, from musicians and actors to many others.
With new upgrades to the festival site and two major names already confirmed, the 18th edition of Boomtown is shaping up to be another memorable one. The phase one line-up will be announced on 26 November, with the official launch trailer arriving a day earlier.
Tickets are available now on the official website.
