Noisia Announces Return with Amsterdam Comeback Show
Legendary Dutch drum & bass trio Noisia are officially returning to the stage, ending a seven-year hiatus this December in Amsterdam.
This will mark the end of a seven-year hiatus that began when they decided to step away from the project. Members Martijn van Sonderen, Nik Roos, and Thijs de Vlieger will reunite for their first live performance at Melkweg Amsterdam on December 4, 2026.
When Noisia first announced their split, the group had hit a creative deadlock. In a recent statement shared with their community, the trio reflected on the pressures that led to their separation. They admitted that pushing harder was no longer working for the group.
”We tried everything we could to get us out of the deadlock we were in. We had to admit the answer wasn’t in more trying, in more force. It was in letting go. We needed a full stop.”
At the time, the members parted ways with no intention of reforming. They branched out into solo production, explored outside passions, and took creative risks independently. Even while pursuing separate paths their bond remained intact. They continued running their label, Vision Recordings, in shared studio space at the same building. The group managed to sustain their longtime friendship.
Over time, the emotional weight that once defined the project began to clear. Casual conversations and mutual admiration for each other’s personal growth gradually reignited their collaborative spark. As the heavy memories were replaced by gratitude and excitement, the three producers returned to the studio together and found a renewed hunger for the stage.
Rather than rushing fresh material directly to streaming platforms, Noisia plans to test and refine new tracks during live sets, creating a loop of feedback between the crowd and the studio. Their December show at Melkweg marks the first step in this new chapter.
