The unofficial festival season kick-off event, Ultra Music Festival takes placed during WMC (Winter Music Conference). As thousands flood to the city of Miami, multiple events take place with UMF being the pinnacle. Boasting a huge lineup with the likes of Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, DJ Snake, Alesso and many many more along with world-class production, it’s no surprise that the festival has become so popular. Unfortunately, it seems that this years event will not go ahead as planned (source).

The decision, made by the Miami officials, to postpone the event has sent shock waves through the electronic dance music community. The decision was made in a meeting on Wednesday morning between Miami’s elected leaders and Ultra representatives, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter. Before the meeting, Mayor Francis Suarez and Commissioner Joe Carollo told reporters they wanted to postpone the event due to concerns over the spread of novel coronavirus, or COVID-19.
