Porter Robinson is 32 years old?! It’s hard to believe how quickly time has flown. I can vividly recall first discovering his album, ‘Spitfire’, though it’s actually been 13 years since its release. And who could forget how Porter’s journey began, starting with a gift from his parents—an electronic keyboard—that led to ”locking himself in his bedroom for the next 3 years”, as his father recalled in an interview. Soon after, he surprised not only his parents, but also himself with news of an invitation to DJ in Germany. The rest is history.
This prodigy made his mark in EDM during the 2010s, particularly in Electro House. With his highly anticipated album, ‘Smile! :D’, set to launch later this month, Porter Robinson gave listeners a taste dropping single ‘Cheerleader’ back in March of this year.
