The internationally renowned producer CID gears up for his highly anticipated label debut on Insomniac Records with an ear-hooking tech house slammer by the name of ‘La La La’.
Arriving on the shadow of the summer solstice, the latest creation from the New York native rolls out the red carpet for the endless late-night shenanigans that the season is destined to bring about. Lifting a vocal sample from one of the fast-selling singles of all time, ‘La La La’ matches the infectious nature of its iconic hook with a buoyant, brain-burrowing groove.
Robust and unequivocally bouncy, the track propels itself across a potent dancefloor-focused formula, drawing its peak-time appeal from thick basslines, shuffling drums, subtle chirping textures, crisp hats, and the perfect amount of cowbell flourishes. The playful vocal chops maintain a tenacious cadence, without running the risk of outliving its welcome. Between the chart-topping vox and the feverish production bubbling beneath it, CID’s new single is poised to become one of the most heard dance records for the foreseeable future.
Those with enough wits to swing by Insomniac Records-hosted stereoBLOOM stage to catch CID’s set at this year’s EDC Las Vegas were blessed with a sneak peak of ‘La La La’ ahead of its release. It was, by all measures, a standout moment from his performance, and it will only become more of a crowd-stunner as he continues to trek across North American on a run of shows that includes stops at Nocturnal Wonderland, Academy LA, and Echostage in D.C.
The electrifying presence CID displays on both the club and festival circuit is by no means not isolated to the global stage. He’s a Grammy-winning producer—née Carlos Cid—who continues to put his name on timeless tracks such as ‘Where I Want 2 Be’, ‘Carnaval de Paris’, and ‘Duro’. In addition to his incredible track record on the solo front, the NYC phenom has also found tremendous success in collaboration with like-minded artists, as evidenced by his co-credits on ‘R.E.A.L’ with Dombresky, ‘How We Do’ alongside Joshwa, and ‘Jumpin’ with Westend.
His unrivaled tech house sensibilities have led him to become one of the highest-grossing artists on Beatport, a bragging right that is inevitably carrying over to his own Night Service Only, thehe launched to provide a springboard for the next generation of tastemakers like himself. Since getting off the ground in 2019, the imprint has opened its doors to a slew of exciting talent from the likes of Black V Neck, Cloverdale, BYOR, Chapter & Verse, MUUS, Curtiba, and the list continues to grow.
Constantly finding himself at the forefront of house music, ‘La La La’ is another blinding example of CID’s ability to cook up anthems on cue.
