DNVX is a 20-year-old artist from Croatia who has been making major waves in the electronic dance music scene with his insane high output of quality releases. Since 2018, he has released music on highly respected labels such as Spinnin’ Records, Zero Cool, One Seven Music, Future House Cloud, and TurnItUp Muzik, among others while receiving support from the likes of Showtek, Fedde Le Grand, Dada Life, Will Sparks, and Danny Avila. We had the pleasure of chatting with DNVX on a number of topics.
Hey DNVX, thanks for speaking with us, how are you doing?
Hi! I am doing really good, enjoying my summer vacation finally, thanks for asking!
Let’s kick things off with your brand new single, ‘CRAZY’, alongside EpcWrld. How happy are you with the finished product and it’s home on Dada Life’s Crash & Smile?
I am really happy with the song, I think the end result was amazing and I couldn’t be happier to release it on any other label than Crash & Smile. Dada Life are one of my idols from the beginning so it felt amazing to sign a contract with their label.
How was it to work alongside Too Much?
I enjoyed working with TOO MUCH! When he sent me the demo I felt the vibe was right and in just a few days the collab was done. I felt it had the potential to sign it somewhere big and I am really thankful that my feeling was right! I do believe the two of us will work together again in the future.
You’ve released over 20 new productions now this year alone. How do you keep up such a high output and quality on your releases?
Making music is something I love, so it’s not that hard to be consistent with producing and making new songs. I am a student so sometimes it is challenging to find the time for music alongside my studies, but I always try my best!
You have found a home for your tracks on well-respected labels such as Spinnin’ Records, Zero Cool, and Enforce Records. How have these labels helped you grow as an artist?
All of those labels helped me grow as an artist. Alongside their good promotion of the releases, they helped my artist name grow and of course, signing with big labels like those helps me boost my confidence and keep doing what I love.
You’ve formed your own signature style over the past couple of years, how important is it for you to have your own artistic vision?
I think it is really important to have your vision and style. I am still in search of my own style and sound, but I hope with time all of that will come.
That has not stopped you from experimenting and producing some different genres. Are there any other genres or styles you’d like to work with?
I love hard trap and hardstyle! It’s not something I produced before but I love to listen to it. Maybe someday in the future, I will be open to experimenting with those genres.
With over 20 releases this year, do you plan to keep unleashing so much new music for your fans to enjoy?
Yes! I always like to release as much music as I can, as long as I like it of course. I want to keep my listeners interested and I always enjoy sharing my music with everyone!
What are your plans for the coming months and next year?
I plan on releasing as much music as I can, and I definitely want to play some live shows! It was hard to do any shows during COVID, and it still is. But I hope by next year you will see me playing in some clubs or who knows, maybe even festivals. But that is something I have to work for, and although it is going to be hard I am staying positive!
Thanks for taking your time to speak with us, do you have anything else to announce with our readers?
Big things are coming, so stay tuned 🙂
