Eran Hersh takes a dig at influencer culture with groovy dance tune “I’m Shocked.”
Eran Hersh takes a dig at influencer culture with groovy dance tune “I’m Shocked.”
A diligent artist, Eran Hersh has made significant waves in the House scene. Following the string of fresh releases from him this year, “I’m Shocked” is bound to turn heads: it is more than your typical dancefloor weapon. This release yet again demonstrates his propensity for delivering top-tier productions, a feature now recurrent on his sizable discography.
An active personality in the EDM industry for more than a decade now, Eran Hersh’s name will ring a bell with many dance music listeners: his breakthrough hit “Sorry” involved a synergy with BLOND:ISH, Darmon and the iconic Madonna, achieving virality with over fifty million plays since its release in 2021. The suave nu-disco number was just the launchpad Eran needed, since which he has fine-tuned a distinctive Afro house signature— a successful strategy that has landed the Floridian alias on trendy Beatport charts and editorial playlists multiple times.
Showing a deeper commitment with creative endeavors, Eran revealed several notable projects last year: the progressive/deep house spin on Eurythmic’s “Sweet Dreams” (featuring Marasi) remodeled the 80s new wave classic with a smooth, percussive house beat and melodic vocal cover— punctuated by dramatic violin strings. Later, Swedish House Mafia enlisted the American producer for a remix duty of “Finally” (with Alicia Keys)— to which he delivered an euphoric remix with majestic piano chords and lofty drop sequences, quickly turning into a fan favorite.
“I’m Shocked” works on the same competent formula of prior mentioned tracks, although with a twist: a commentary driven tune, the deep and booming narrator denounces the gaudy mentality of social media influencers. The breakdown then shifts into a minimal yet robust tribal house groove with clicky drums and syncopated pluck synth: a magnetic sequence that doesn’t employ a whole lot but remains equally effective. On paper this could come off as a bit simplistic, but Hersh’s nuanced sound design and production expertise pulls off the concept with an admirable gusto.

Great Adamz And Manuel Riva Come Together On New Afrohouse Single ‘Shake’
Coming off the back of their sensational collaboration ‘Umada’, Great Adamz and Manuel Riva are back with another outstanding single, ‘Shake.’
As summer starts to emerge Adamz and Riva have delivered a track that epitomises the sunny days to come. ‘Shake’ oozes the euphoric feeling of being on the beach, soaking up the rays, and enjoying life. The combination of Adamz’s mastery of Afrohouse with Riva’s deep house spark makes for an infectious track that puts a smile on your face and makes you want to go out into the world. The driving force behind ‘Shake’ is of course the percussion which is layered beautifully. While the main beat cuts down the middle of the mix, certain elements are more stereo and echoed which adds some nice texture to the percussion. ‘Shake’ delivers on all the key elements you want from an afrohouse hit with a powerful, catchy bassline and an intoxicating rhythm. Adamz’s vocals are excellently delivered and slot into the track perfectly adding to the warm, romantic tone of ‘Shake.’
Adamz and Riva’s chemistry in the studio comes as no surprise following their effortless gelling on ‘Umada’ which earnt them the #1 spot on Music Week’s Black Music Chart. Adamz had also reached the #1 spot previously with the fantastic ‘Jeje.’ His success has been ever building with 4 #1 singles on iTunes Nigeria, his international festival debut at Latitude Festival, and he was in the MOBO Unsung Class of 2022. Riva has also had a great deal of success over his career with multiple appearances in the Billboard Dance Club Chart Top 20. His music has earnt him millions of streams and an official festival anthem as ‘Miami’ was the official anthem of Neversea Festival.
This pairing of artists was always bound to make something special and ‘Shake’ lives up to the anticipation following on from ‘Umada.’ With excellent production, and the warmth of June, Adamz and Riva have given us a sure-fire summer hit.

STBAN teams up with Billy Ronca for hot Latin number ‘YAMEKITE’
STBAN and Billy Ronca release ‘Yamekite’ via FLAMENCA Records / Toolroom Records, a rolling Latin electronica track built for Ibiza terraces and club dancefloors.
Fresh from the success of his Javi Torres and Alba Dreid collab ‘Habibi’, FLAMENCA Records boss STBAN continues to build the hype with latest single ‘Yamekite’, out today via distributor Toolroom Records.
This time out, the label head shares the stage with reggaeton and Latin rap star Billy Ronca. Born in Brazil, raised across Europe and now based in the heart of Puerto Rico working with reggaeton icons Baby Rasta y Gringo, Ronca has steadily built his reputation as a singer and writer to watch out for. Teaming up with STBAN in the studio, the result is another hit in the growing FLAMENCA catalogue.
“This song is about self-love and awareness,” Ronca explained. “Sometimes we’re the ones who put people on pedestals they never deserved, and when that happens, it’s up to us to bring them back down. It’s a reminder to protect your energy, choose good vibes, and not waste time on people or situations that don’t add value to your life. Life is short, everything is temporary, and we shouldn’t get stuck in negativity.
“The line “era pa’ siempre que me tuviste” reflects a contradiction that tells a deeper story — two people living the same relationship with completely different intentions. For one, it felt like forever; for the other, it was just a moment.
“Even though the lyrics are simple, the message goes deeper: it’s about self-respect, emotional clarity, and knowing when to let go.”
Ronca’s sun drenched vocals and fluid rap are a perfect foil for STBAN’s steadily building production. Gentle guitars strum across rolling percussion, Latin brass shimmering and sizzling in the background as STBAN gradually turns the energy up. It’s a gorgeous slice of hot Latin electronica perfectly timed for the opening of the European summer season.
“We’ve just been in Ibiza and the reaction to the track was amazing,” the FLAMENCA Records label boss said. “It’s the perfect track to get the terrace session going or dial the heat up on the club dance floor. Another great addition to our FLAMENCA Records discography.”
STBAN & Billy Ronca ‘Yamekite’ is released May 8th on FLAMENCA Records via Toolroom Records.

Casa de Afro: Where African Roots Ignite Mexico City Nights
In the beating heart of Mexico City, something special is unfolding after dark. Casa de Afro is not your average dance music series. It is a warm, living connection between the ancient rhythms of Africa and the electric energy of modern club life. Founded by Dr. ADO and Bud Lee, this project brings people together through Afro House in a way that feels genuine, respectful, and full of soul.
The Visionaries Behind the Sound
Dr. ADO grew up in London with Ghanaian roots running deep in his veins. Yet it was his years spent fully immersed in South Africa’s vibrant scene that shaped him as an artist. He stood side by side with legends like Vanco, Culoe De Song, Major League DJz, Thakzin, and Cuebur, learning the true essence of Afro-Tech straight from the source. That real-world experience shines through in every track he touches. His song “Get Away” has already passed 1.6 million streams on Spotify, and his recent Anjunadeep Explorations releases with BokkieUlt, “Hold My Hand” and “Starlight,” have earned him serious respect in the global underground.
Bud Lee adds the perfect balance. Hailing from Philadelphia, this African-American artist carries more than ten years of music experience. He has poured his heart into Afro House lately, bringing a soulful, distinctly American warmth that completes the picture. When these two step into the booth together, the chemistry is effortless because it comes from shared love for the diaspora and the music that connects it all.
Taking the Sound Across the World
Mexico City is still the heart of Casa de Afro, but the duo is making sure the vibe reaches far beyond. Their recent event at Maison Close in London’s Mayfair showed just how naturally the sound travels. In one of the planet’s toughest music cities, they created an intimate, magnetic night that felt right at home for fans on both continents.

Two Nights You Need to Catch This Spring
The founders have never forgotten the local crowd that helped them grow. This spring they are giving back with two very special appearances in Mexico City.
On April 17, head to Symphonie for a true late-night journey. The session runs from 10 PM straight through until 5 AM. Expect deep, hypnotic Afro House grooves that wrap around you in one of the city’s most atmospheric clubs. Get your tickets through here.
Then on May 9, Casa de Afro joins forces with the global brand ¿PorquéNo? for their official Mexico City launch at the beautiful Faunna Rooftop. This is a proud milestone for the series, recognizing them as true pioneers of the sound in the region. Get your tickets through here.
Why It All Matters
Dr. ADO says it best: “We’ve worked hard to cultivate a community here that genuinely loves this music. To be able to bring that community along as we support global launches like ¿PorquéNo?, and to see the sound resonate in places like London, is a real honor for us. We’re just focused on keeping the quality high and staying true to the African roots, both by blood and by experience, that make this music what it is.”
That honest approach is what makes every Casa de Afro night feel like more than just a party. It feels like belonging.
