5 Legendary Artist Pairings

David Guetta and Sia

David Guetta and Sia have a new collab ‘Beautiful People’ which has been stirring excitement long before its release thanks to their reputation for making some massive tracks. Their collaborations have garnered billions of streams on Spotify with of course the standout being ‘Titanium’ which by itself has 1.8 billion. Their success didn’t stop there though as they also worked together on the iconic ‘She Wolf’, the titanic ‘Flames’, and the uplifting ‘Bang My Head.’ The anticipation surrounding their collaborations is always palpable as it’s well established that they work perfectly together and will hopefully continue to in the future.

Martin Garrix and Matisse & Sadko

Martin Garrix collaborates with a variety of artists, however it’s when he links up with Matisse & Sadko that fans around the world get most excited as they know there’s going to be a huge hit coming their way. The combination of these artists is progressive house heaven every time as their styles blend beautifully to make iconic songs like ‘Break Through The Silence’, ‘Forever’, and ‘Won’t Let You Go.’ Their collaborations go beyond what is credited as they often assist each other with various productions so sometimes though their name may not be on the release a little bit of their style will be.

Armand Van Helden and A-Trak (Duck Sauce)

Armand Van Helden and A-Trak have each carved their own successful paths in EDM and when they unite to form Duck Sauce it always makes for something special. They made waves with their first and only album ‘Quack’ which was packed from start to finish with their now well established groovy and fun feel. Each song brings a smile to your face and of course this album featured their most iconic song ‘Barbra Streisand’ which is a timeless classic. After ‘Quack’ there was a 6-year hiatus of Duck Sauce releasing music, but thankfully they made a return in 2020 to bring back some fun to the world during the hard times of lockdown.

Tchami and Malaa

There are few artists that collaborate more than the unstoppable pairing of Tchami and Malaa who regularly link up both behind the decks and in the studio. Not only have they collaborated on a series of amazing singles, but they have also produced an entire album together with ‘Veni, Vidi, Vici.’ They’re chemistry is incredibly strong which has made for all of their collaborations to be absolute bangers including songs like ‘N9’, ‘A Prayer’, ‘Discipline’ and countless others. Malaa keeps their identity secret, and many fans still believe that Tchami might actually be Malaa though this is something he regularly denies saying: “We play back-to-back together”, “this is not a hologram playing.” While Malaa’s identity remains a mystery, the power of their collabs with Tchami do not.

HI LO and Reiner Zonneveld

Oliver Heldens’ journey into techno has been a fruitful one where Reiner Zonneveld, who sort of acted as his techno guru, has become a regular collaborator. When these two pair up on a track you know that it’s going to be absolutely killer and their releases so far have earnt them that reputation with barnstormers like ‘Flying Octopus’, ‘Existencia’ and ‘Saw of Olympus.’ Reinier Zonneveld is probably one of the best people out there to help teach you techno and now his work with HI LO is making for some of best techno tracks around. Everything from them has been great so far and you can be sure that there is plenty more still to come from this pairing.
