Levity Aim to Break North American Laser Record
Levity aim to break North American laser record with Snow Day 3 Octobot production across two nights in Chicago
With Snow Day returning for a third edition next January, Levity are preparing their biggest version of the event yet as they continue expanding both the production and scale of the series. Taking place across January 29–30, 2027 at Navy Pier’s Festival Hall in Chicago, Snow Day 3: The Octobot will introduce a new octopus-inspired stage concept, with lasers extending across its mechanical limbs and a goal of breaking the North American record for the most lasers used at a concert. The announcement builds on Snow Day 2 at Wintrust Arena, where their 360° Lasership production featured 330 lasers and set a new benchmark for the show, continuing a progression that has seen Snow Day grow significantly with each edition.

From the Lasership to the Octobot
The record attempt comes after a year in which lasers have become closely tied to Levity’s headline shows. Their Lasership production first appeared at Mission Ballroom in Denver, introducing a 360° setup that surrounded the trio with lasers during the set. A few months later, Levity brought the concept back to Chicago for Snow Day 2 at Wintrust Arena in February 2026, where the production expanded to 330 lasers and set the North American concert record they now intend to surpass.

Rather than bringing the Lasership back for another edition, Levity have created a completely different concept for Snow Day 3. The Octobot takes the form of a giant robotic octopus, with lasers positioned across its mechanical limbs throughout the stage design. Its debut will take place inside Navy Pier’s Festival Hall, which covers roughly 170,000 square feet and gives the production considerably more space to work across. Levity will also perform a different Octobot set on each night, with a secret b2b, additional support and an expanded sound system included across the weekend.
Snow Day Returns With Its Biggest Edition Yet
Since Snow Day first launched at Radius Chicago in January 2025, the event has changed considerably in only three editions. The original show was held across one night before Snow Day 2 brought the series to Wintrust Arena and introduced the 330-laser Lasership production. For 2027, Levity are extending the event across two nights for the first time, while the Octobot gives the Chicago series another production created specifically for this edition.
Before Snow Day 3 takes place in January, Levity will also debut Levi-Rocks Year 1: The Volcano during their first headline show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on October 2, 2026. The Colorado date will feature its own production concept, separate from both the Lasership and the Octobot, adding another large headline show to the trio’s calendar before their return to Chicago.
The Octobot therefore follows a period in which Levity have introduced several different production concepts around their headline sets, while Snow Day itself has developed from a single club date into a two-night event at Navy Pier. With 330 lasers currently standing as their previous record, Snow Day 3 now gives the trio the chance to surpass a benchmark they set less than a year earlier.

deadmau5 Takes Over Red Rocks For Halloween
deadmau5 takes over Red Rocks for Halloween on October 30 and 31 with two special shows and the return of mau5hop
For more than 15 years, deadmau5 has returned to Red Rocks Amphitheatre each fall, with the Colorado venue becoming a regular part of his seasonal live shows. This year, that tradition reaches a new point as he performs at Red Rocks on Halloween itself for the first time, with DEADMAU5 HALLOWEEN taking place on October 30 and 31. The two-night event will feature VOWWS, joined by Josh Freese and Danny Lohner, alongside special visuals, selections from deadmau5’s catalogue and new music. The weekend will also include the return of the mau5hop pop-up in Denver, with exclusive merchandise, collectibles and meet-and-greet sessions across both days.

VOWWS Joins deadmau5 For The Halloween Shows
VOWWS will join deadmau5 across the two nights, with Josh Freese and Danny Lohner also part of the performance. The Australian-born, Los Angeles-based duo of Matt James and Rizz have long worked across darker alternative and electronic sounds, with previous collaborations involving Gary Numan, Chino Moreno and Chelsea Wolfe.
Josh Freese, whose credits include A Perfect Circle, Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails and The Vandals, also appears on VOWWS’ latest album I’ll Fill Your House With An Army. Danny Lohner, known for his work with Nine Inch Nails and The Black Queen, will join the duo at Red Rocks as part of the expanded live lineup.
What deadmau5 Has Planned For Halloween
The October 30 and 31 shows will feature special Halloween visuals alongside selections from deadmau5’s catalogue and new music. Attendees are also being encouraged to come in costume across both nights.
The shows add a new chapter to deadmau5’s long history at Red Rocks, where his fall appearances have become a regular fixture over more than 15 years. He was back at the venue in 2025 for Day of the Dead, where he debuted new music and parts of a new touring production.
That period has continued into 2026 with ‘Science’ featuring Stevie Appleton, his first vocal single since ‘My Heart Has Teeth’. The track later reached No. 1 on US Dance Radio and also entered Billboard Dance/Mixshow Airplay and Canada CHR/Top 40.
mau5hop Returns For Halloween Weekend
The Halloween weekend will also include the return of mau5hop in Denver, opening on October 30 and 31 at 95 S Cherokee Street. The pop-up will run from 11:00 AM–6:00 PM each day with specialty merchandise, limited-edition apparel, pins and collectibles not available online or at the shows.
deadmau5 and friends are also due to appear for meet-and-greets and signings from 12:00 PM–3:00 PM on both days.
With the Red Rocks shows and mau5hop both returning across Halloween weekend, this year’s edition adds more around a tradition that has already become closely tied to deadmau5 and the venue. The biggest difference in 2026 is simple: for the first time, one of those shows will actually fall on Halloween night.
With VOWWS, Josh Freese and Danny Lohner joining the shows, new music expected and mau5hop returning to Denver, DEADMAU5 HALLOWEEN has plenty planned across the weekend. Limited tickets remain for both nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, with more from deadmau5 also expected in the months ahead.

BETH Turns Up the Energy With New Single ‘Wait’
Scottish producer BETH returns on The Cross Records with new single Wait, following a breakout 2026 of festival slots, Ibiza dates and Radio 1 support.
In the space of a year, BETH has gone from respected up and comer to a genuine festival act. Her debut on The Cross Records, “Keep It Movin’,” is closing in on 1 million streams, and she’s kept up a steady run of releases on labels like TSHA’s Jackfruit, Eats Everything’s Edible, and Melon Bomb Records, along with a well received remix of Karen Harding’s “Island.” That output has earned her support on BBC Radio 1, with plays from Sarah Story and Arielle Free.
Her live schedule has kept pace too. This year she’s played TRNSMT Festival, Sub Club, Cabaret Voltaire, and SWG3 in Scotland, Mas Que Nada in London, and Lakota in Bristol, plus Ibiza dates at Hï, Cova Santa, and Pikes.

“Wait” marks a step forward in her production. Where “Keep It Movin'” leaned into sultry, harmonic melodies, “Wait” goes bigger and brighter, built around euphoric piano chords, a driving 90s inspired break, and deep reese bass. It’s a feel good summer record from an artist whose rise shows no signs of slowing down.
