Plasma Inperimental cover

Plasma are set to drop ‘Inperimental,’ their first album since their unexpected return to the dance music scene in 2023.

For fans craving the sounds of ’90s electronic music, the Lithuanian duo deliver in style—combining over two years of studio work into a release that’s equal parts nostalgia and innovation. Founded in 1995 by producer-engineer Saidas Blistrabas and later joined by Darius Vaičiulis, Plasma originally made their mark with the Baltic dancefloor igniter ‘Plug & Play’ and the genre-defining ‘Microworld.’ After a decades-long hiatus, they’ve reignited their partnership with fresh creative energy.

On ‘Inperimental,’ Plasma fuse vintage synths and samplers with cutting-edge plugins, crafting a sound that feels both retro and forward-thinking. Their influences are clear—legendary acts like Orbital echo throughout the album, especially on the driving, hypnotic “Plastic Ping,” which recalls the timeless pulse of Orbital’s classic “Chime.” “Rubber Duck,” meanwhile, channels Daft Punk with its playful energy and rich, immersive sound design, standing out as one of the album’s highlights.

Throughout the record, Plasma flex their creativity—using chunky basslines as a foundation for swirling layers of melody and texture. “Discovery” dives deeper, introducing acid-inspired elements and an underwater sonic landscape that’s truly transportive.

‘Inperimental’ thrives on contrasts—blending old school and new school, chilled and energetic, melancholy and uplifting—yet remains strikingly cohesive. Whether you’re after a nostalgic trip or something new for your playlist, Plasma’s comeback has you covered.

LEIJON

LEIJON unveils his latest single ‘I WANNA’, a refined Tech House cut built for those who understand the power of restraint on the dancefloor.

LEIJON, the Swedish producer, is back with a fresh cut for tech house fans who appreciate clarity over chaos. His new single ‘I WANNA’, out today, strips things down without losing momentum, highlighting just how effective minimal production can be when executed with intent.

Built on crisp percussion, a hypnotic vocal loop, and a clean, rolling bassline, ‘I WANNA’ avoids clutter and leans into restraint. Rather than going for volume or sensory overload, the track maintains steady movement and subtle builds, making it ideal for both warm-up sets and extended headphone sessions.

Less Noise, More Focus

At its core, ‘I WANNA’ is about control. The production doesn’t try to impress with gimmicks or unnecessary shifts. Instead, it moves confidently through each section, allowing small variations in rhythm and structure to keep it engaging. There’s tension, but no chaos. Everything feels deliberate.

LEIJON’s style has always been sleek and club-forward, but this latest track offers a refined evolution. It works equally well in a packed room or on personal repeat, bridging underground functionality with melodic awareness.

What to Expect

If you’re familiar with LEIJON’s earlier material, ‘I WANNA’ won’t feel like a departure, but it does mark a subtle shift toward more nuanced arrangement and groove sensitivity. It’s a track made for DJs looking to maintain flow without losing control of the room, and for listeners who value stripped-back house with intent.

‘I WANNA’ is out now on all major streaming platforms here.
