New EDM Friday: Skrillex, Fred Again.., Hardwell, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren & More!

David Guetta & Benny Benassi – Satisfaction (Hardwell & Maddix Remix)
Kicking off the new year with a burst of electro energy, one of 2022’s most resounding covers receives a stellar remix. ‘Satisfaction’ already proved its worth when David Guetta worked his magic touch on the Benny Benassi classic, but now with Hardwell and Maddix, the record gains even more power. A raw, uptempo techno beat gets things in motion and is pushed further by those notorious vocals and indestructible bass chords.

Skrillex, Fred again.. & Flowdan – Rumble
First appearing on Fred again..’s breakout Boiler Room in July of 2022, ‘Rumble’ quickly evolved into one of electronic music’s most anticipated unreleased IDs. A collaboration between SkrillexFred again.., and Flowdan, it’s safe to assume that ‘Rumble’ will cement itself as one of the biggest bass singles of the year. Flowdan’s smooth bars can be heard front and center, juxtaposed by an infectious, high-pitched vocal sample and minimalistic bass production, making for an auditory result that is as infectious as it is hard-hitting.

Phatwell ft. Hugo Hartley – Don’t Go Play With Fire
Coming hot on the heels of a big year in 2022 which saw the releases of ‘We Are Going To The Sun’ and ‘Can You Feel It?’Phatwell keeps his momentum rolling into the new year with the release of ‘Don’t Go Play With Fire’. A single that includes amazing vocals from Hugo Hartley, this new one is a continuation of that signature pop dance style that we’ve come to love from this Swedish producer.

Robert Snajder – Storm
Giving this track a title that perfectly describes itself, Robert Snajder‘s ‘Storm’ packs a powerful, almighty punch with its soundscape. Commanding the attention of any listener from its first few notes, the single takes inspiration from the electrifying Future Rave genre, with searing synths and fist-pump-worthy sounds that will no doubt cause an earthquake on the club floors.

Armin van Buuren ft. Matoma & Teddy Swims – Easy To Love
A three-way collaboration oozing with hit potential, ‘Easy To Love’ sees dance music icon Armin van Buuren team up with hitmaker Matoma and American singer-songwriter Teddy Swims. Talking of instant infatuation amidst atmospheric guitar tones, a steady rhythm, and a rich vocal presence, this track is designed to resonate with anyone who’s ever fallen in love at the snap of a finger.

Tiësto – Lay Low
Ending this week’s recap we’ve got dance music icon Tiesto kickstarting his catalog for 2023 with the unique ‘Law Low’. Much like his previous pop-dance crossovers, Tiesto brings a breath of fresh air, this time enlisting choir-like vocals to give his sound a newly added touch, resulting in a brilliant end product.
