Dance music fans are sorely missing festival and club season this year, but Nicky Romero has the next best thing up his sleeve. Hot on the heels of his stellar collaboration with Armin van Buuren – “I Need You To Know,” the Protocol Recordings boss debuts his appropriately titled “Another World” livestream concept, which engages viewers into a world of wildest imaginations and hyper-realistic worlds to complement Nicky Romero‘s signature sonic style throughout his “Another World” virtual performance. With the most recent technology used to plan, design, animate, and bring the concept to life, anything is possible. It could open with sweeping, surreal views of a cathedral, take you on a journey through time and space, reminiscent of imaginary and far off lands, from outer space to Atlantis and beyond. Effects are unreal, possibilities are endless. As demonstrated by his brand and his own musical repertoire, Nicky has always been a highly adaptable and cutting edge artist, and “Another World” is the next concept, which falls under that criteria. Tune in to the livestream on June 16 at 9PM CET (12PM PST) here, and on June 18 for encore presentation, and stay tuned for more new music and news from Nicky Romero and the rest of the Protocol Recordings crew!
After taking the world by storm with early hits such as ‘Legacy‘ (with Krewella) and #1 single ‘I Could Be The One‘ (with Avicii), Nicky Romero quickly proved that his talent is ever-evolving and here to stay. After launching his Protocol Recordings imprint in 2012, the renowned performer, producer, and label head continued his personal successes with a string of high-profile releases, ranging from collabs with Mike Williams & Amba Shepherd, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, W&W, DallasK & XYLØ, Timmy Trumpet and Steve Aoki & Kiiara to remixes for the likes of Kygo, Rita Ora, David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, Jess Glynne and more. Nicky is also the production genius behind pop hits like Rihanna‘s ‘Right Now,’ David Guetta‘s ‘Bang My Head‘ ft. Sia, and Britney Spears‘ ‘It Should Be Easy,’ to name a few. Furthermore, Protocol has hit another significant milestone in 2020 with the 200th release, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings!
