In October of 2015, Belgium’s national soccer team earned a place at the 2016 UEFA European Championship in France. After the match at the King Baudouin Stadium, the world’s best DJs, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike performed a sensational DJ set. And as it turns out, that was only a taste of things to come. Because the Belgian DJ-duo also composed the official Belgian Euro 2016 anthem, ‘Melody’. At the request of the Belgian soccer team and the Royal Belgian Football Association, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike got busy in the studio to create the anthem, but they weren’t alone. They were joined by international DJs Steve Aoki and Ummet Ozcan. The result is ‘Melody’, a strong anthem that inspired the Red Devils to perform at their best in France.
Belgian duo Dimitri & Mike continue to push their sound to global audiences, recently headlining at the virtual dance event of the year: Tomorrowland’s New Year’s Eve digital festival. The 2x former World #1 DJs have built up an impressive body of music over the last few decades. Collaborations with artists like Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Ne-Yo, Paris Hilton, and Hans Zimmer have caught the world’s attention, and singles such as ‘Instagram’ with David Guetta, Afro Bros, Daddy Yankee, and Natti Natasha have garnered more than 220 million streams on Spotify.
In an age where very few artists break the mold and truly shine through as unique and innovative, Dutch/Turkish star Ummet Ozcan is one of the exceptions to the rule. A success story that’s about to enter new grounds. Growing up in the known epicenter of dance music, The Netherlands, it isn’t difficult for Ozcan to plug into dance music at a young age.
Electronic dance music producer and award-winning DJ Steve Aoki built his brand around raucous live sets, high-profile remixes and collaborations, and his indie label, Dim Mak Records. His official debut album, ‘Wonderland’, received a Grammy nomination for “Best Dance/Electronic Album” in 2013, while subsequent releases remained a steady presence in the US Dance chart Top Five, including a pair of chart-toppers with ‘Neon Future, Vol. 1’ (2014) and ‘Neon Future, Vol. 3’ (2018).
