Skrillex and Boys Noize Tease New Dog Blood Music
Skrillex and Boys Noize tease new Dog Blood music more than a decade after launching the project
Skrillex and Boys Noize have teased new Dog Blood music for the first time in years, reviving a project that dates back to 2012. Ahead of their Portola Festival appearance, Skrillex shared a short 2026 ID megamix featuring unreleased material from the duo. The clip is the strongest indication of fresh Dog Blood material since the Turn Off The Lights EP in 2019, bringing one of their longest-running collaborations back into focus.
First New Dog Blood Material Since 2019
Hours before Dog Blood returned to Portola Festival, Skrillex sent out a text containing only a dog emoji and a link to nearly two minutes of unreleased music. He later shared the same clip on Instagram Stories as “dog blood id mega mix 2026,” confirming that the music came from his project with Boys Noize. The mix runs through several unreleased IDs and also includes an interpolation of Rihanna’s Don’t Stop the Music.

With several tracks appearing in the same teaser, the clip offers a much stronger sign of new Dog Blood material than a single ID appearing during a set. Skrillex and Boys Noize have not confirmed whether the music will lead to an EP, album or another release, and no release date has been announced. For now, the teaser marks the first substantial glimpse of new Dog Blood music since Turn Off The Lights in 2019.
More Than a Decade of Dog Blood
Skrillex and Boys Noize first introduced Dog Blood in 2012 with Next Order / Middle Finger, bringing together two producers who already had established careers of their own. Middle Finger Pt. 2 followed in 2013, while the project developed around a harder mix of electro, acid, bass and techno that gave the pair a separate outlet from their solo releases.
Their early releases soon carried over into major festival appearances, but Dog Blood never followed a constant release schedule. Years could pass between new material before Skrillex and Boys Noize returned to the project again. One of those returns came in 2019 with Turn Off The Lights, a four-track EP featuring Break Law, 4 Mind, Kokoe and the title track. It remains their latest full project under the Dog Blood name.
When Boys Noize was asked about unreleased Dog Blood music during a 2021 Reddit AMA, he replied that they had “some new shit too,” showing that the project was still active behind the scenes even without a new release. Skrillex and Boys Noize worked together again two years later on Fine Day Anthem, although they released the track under their own names instead of Dog Blood.
With Fine Day Anthem already showing that the two were still collaborating, the 2026 teaser goes a step further by putting several unreleased tracks directly under the Dog Blood name. Their Portola Festival set on the same day then brought the project back to the stage as well, giving the new material a live connection that had been missing for years.
Although Skrillex and Boys Noize have not confirmed an EP, album or release date, the combination of several new IDs and another Dog Blood performance points to far more activity than the occasional hints that followed Turn Off The Lights in 2019.
