Teamworx And MR.BLACK Talk New Music, Dream Collabs And More! [Interview]

With the release of ‘We Are Lost’, Teamworx and MR.BLACK kick-off 2020 with a magnificent collab. We had the pleasure of interviewing both artists as they head into the new year. You can see the full interview below.
Q: Starting off, let’s talk about ‘We Are Lost’. How happy are you guys with the finished product and how both styles have meshed?
A: “We are super excited and happy from this track, we feel like we gave birth to a new child. We both love and believe in what came out of the studio and think that the match between us was perfect. We cannot wait to hear the responses from the crowd and hope they will feel the same as we do for this track.”
Q: With 13 releases collectively in 2019, and ‘We Are Lost’ being the first of 2020 for you guys, how excited are you for the upcoming year and do you have any big plans/releases coming soon?
A: “Firstly 2019 have been amazing for both of us, we had quite a few releases supported by some of the industry’s biggest DJs. We’re super proud and excited to kick off 2020 with ‘We Are Lost’, this is a refreshing starting point for our fans that will reflect the continuation of the year. Here’s a little secret! It’s not our only collaboration we’ve got and we both are lined up an amazing year packed with new music and interesting collaborations. 2020 we are ready!”
Q: Although you have been releasing tracks for a relatively long time, you guys are still growing and becoming more influential within the electronic dance music scene. What can you credit for your rise in prominence over the years?
A: “We very much appreciated and thank the opportunity given to us and our growth, we don’t take it for granted to see such great results and outcome. We have a lot of people to give credit for that are an integral part of this, the love of the crowd and the support of the record labels and our home bases who support our music and embrace our ideas, the artists and DJs who play our music and push it to greater heights. In addition, huge credit goes to our management We Rave You who does an amazing job behind the scenes.”
Q [Teamworx]: As an act, you have previously collabed with Dannic, Nicky Romero and a number of upcoming talents. Which other artists would you like to work with in the future and which artists do you think your signature style would mesh well with?
A: “Yes, we have great collaborations last year such as Deep Dark Jungle with Nicky Romero and Bump N’ Roll with Dannic, and we’re already working on more collaborations for 2020. We would be honored to work with Sofi Tukker for example, this could turn into something interested. Swedish House Mafia which have been our inspiration such day one, and have always influenced our music style and obviously Knife Party which are musical and sound design geniuses in our eyes.”
Q [MR.BLACK]: In the past, you have worked alongside KSHMR, Infected Mushroom, Mariana Bo & KURA and a number of emerging acts. Which other artists would you like to work with in the future and which artists do you think your signature style would mesh well with?
“We’ve had the privilege to work with such electronic dance music legends, each and every one of them I’ve been a fan and still admire. There are so many artists who influence me and give me an inspiration which I would love to work with such as David Guetta which always knows how to re-invent himself and be one of the freshest figures in the modern dance music industry. Hardwell which is one of ‘EDM’ pioneers in my opinion and have been supporting my music consistently, and the last one is certainly Tiesto which to me is nothing short of an icon, which brings the hits year after year which I personally connect to.”
Q: Having produced an incredible track in ‘We Are Lost’, do you plan on working together again soon?
A: “We’ve already shared with you a secret, and our next collaboration between us has just begun and we can reveal that our next track is going to be released on February on Hardwell’s label Revealed Recordings and its name is ‘Zoom Zoom’, super energetic track for the dancefloors, so prepare the cameras!”
Q: Moving away from music, what are you looking forward to most in the new year/decade?
A: “Besides music, it’s important for us to develop on our personal aspect, our family – each of us is in a different status but we all put a priority our family, to spend some quality time with our beloved ones and close friends. In addition, every one of us is really into the marketing field, which is an integral part of our every day. We love to hang out, enjoy dining (the Culinary world is fascinating) and we always love to explore new cultures and meet new people!”

Plasma Set To Release Eclectic Album ‘Inperimental’ On July 10th

Plasma are set to drop ‘Inperimental,’ their first album since their unexpected return to the dance music scene in 2023.
For fans craving the sounds of ’90s electronic music, the Lithuanian duo deliver in style—combining over two years of studio work into a release that’s equal parts nostalgia and innovation. Founded in 1995 by producer-engineer Saidas Blistrabas and later joined by Darius Vaičiulis, Plasma originally made their mark with the Baltic dancefloor igniter ‘Plug & Play’ and the genre-defining ‘Microworld.’ After a decades-long hiatus, they’ve reignited their partnership with fresh creative energy.
On ‘Inperimental,’ Plasma fuse vintage synths and samplers with cutting-edge plugins, crafting a sound that feels both retro and forward-thinking. Their influences are clear—legendary acts like Orbital echo throughout the album, especially on the driving, hypnotic “Plastic Ping,” which recalls the timeless pulse of Orbital’s classic “Chime.” “Rubber Duck,” meanwhile, channels Daft Punk with its playful energy and rich, immersive sound design, standing out as one of the album’s highlights.
Throughout the record, Plasma flex their creativity—using chunky basslines as a foundation for swirling layers of melody and texture. “Discovery” dives deeper, introducing acid-inspired elements and an underwater sonic landscape that’s truly transportive.
‘Inperimental’ thrives on contrasts—blending old school and new school, chilled and energetic, melancholy and uplifting—yet remains strikingly cohesive. Whether you’re after a nostalgic trip or something new for your playlist, Plasma’s comeback has you covered.

LEIJON Drops New Tech House Track ‘I WANNA’

LEIJON unveils his latest single ‘I WANNA’, a refined Tech House cut built for those who understand the power of restraint on the dancefloor.
LEIJON, the Swedish producer, is back with a fresh cut for tech house fans who appreciate clarity over chaos. His new single ‘I WANNA’, out today, strips things down without losing momentum, highlighting just how effective minimal production can be when executed with intent.
Built on crisp percussion, a hypnotic vocal loop, and a clean, rolling bassline, ‘I WANNA’ avoids clutter and leans into restraint. Rather than going for volume or sensory overload, the track maintains steady movement and subtle builds, making it ideal for both warm-up sets and extended headphone sessions.
Less Noise, More Focus
At its core, ‘I WANNA’ is about control. The production doesn’t try to impress with gimmicks or unnecessary shifts. Instead, it moves confidently through each section, allowing small variations in rhythm and structure to keep it engaging. There’s tension, but no chaos. Everything feels deliberate.
LEIJON’s style has always been sleek and club-forward, but this latest track offers a refined evolution. It works equally well in a packed room or on personal repeat, bridging underground functionality with melodic awareness.
What to Expect
If you’re familiar with LEIJON’s earlier material, ‘I WANNA’ won’t feel like a departure, but it does mark a subtle shift toward more nuanced arrangement and groove sensitivity. It’s a track made for DJs looking to maintain flow without losing control of the room, and for listeners who value stripped-back house with intent.
‘I WANNA’ is out now on all major streaming platforms here.
