The Story Behind ‘All About Love’ By Steve Angello And Still Young!

If you love mainstage progressive house, you’ll certainly remember the track I’ll be talking about today. It was mesmerizing and uplifting at the same time. The track is a collaboration between Steve Angello, the Swedish titan and the enigmatic Canadian duo, Still Young. This is still one of the most highly anticipated tracks from both of their respective discographies, out of all the songs released by both artists.

We all know that Swedish musicians are known for taking a huge amount of time to compose and release their tracks, but this Canadian duo would also ride on the same bandwagon, which is shocking enough. The Progressive House community went wild when Angello first played it at Ultra Europe 2018, after all it was the first track to be played by the man himself after his album and a wholly new track from SY as well for that year. A message sent to SY via IG in 2019 confirmed that the track will be released soon and they’re making a few changes on it but no updates have been heard to this day.

This isn’t the first time they’ve joined the forces. Back in 2016, they made a track called ‘Follow Me’, in which the instrumental was only released; no word on the vocal mix. Without attempting something out of the box, the unofficial trio kept the second collab subtle, doing what they do the best. The first few bars are a perfect example of how they created a powerful break with minimalistic elements. The record sounds more of SY than SA as one can definitely feel the tweaked up chords from ‘White Label (Is This Love)’ but the Swedish Titan’s presence can also be felt in the drop. Steve Angello has put out a similar record named ‘Paradiso’, as one can even feel the resemblance between the structure which goes emotional yet calm chords in the break and then gradually increasing demeanour of the track and later the drop comes in which can uplift even the laziest of the crowds at any festival.

‘All About Love’ is simply a track that can uplift your mood every time you listen to it. I don’t think it’ll see the light of the day anytime soon as Steve Angello is on a hiatus due to Swedish House Mafia‘s lazy comeback. This track will surely bite the dust for a while in a folder AND all we can think of is not to give up hope & pray for its release.
