In accordance with local government guidelines, ALDA is pleased to announce that it will join partners, DJ Mag, in hosting a small-scale ceremony for the “Top 100 DJs Awards 2021”, at the renowned AFAS Live on 13 October during Amsterdam Dance Event 2021.
AMF has become synonymous with the unveiling of DJ Mag’s World’s No. 1 DJ over the past decade, and this year the festival will assist DJ Mag in hosting a stand-alone ceremony. In order to keep up the annual tradition, the awards ceremony will be returning to Amsterdam in a live setting for the first time since 2019. Inside the more intimate venue of AFAS Live, fans will bear witness to the crowning of the World’s No.1 DJ for 2021 and recognise other artist’s achievements. Last year, the awards were celebrated digitally, marking 10 consecutive years of AMF hosting the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs reveal. In that time the likes of Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Hardwell, Martin Garrix, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have all scooped the No.1 spot.
Following the ceremony, reputable DJ names will perform exclusively within the venue, including the likes of Afrojack, Alan Walker, Armin van Buuren, Avalan, Don Diablo, Mariana Bo, MORTEN and W&W with more artists to be announced. The spectacle aims to offer an opportunity for party-goers to reunite and dance along to their favourite DJs as they would have done during the grand-scale AMF shows of the past.
The “Top 100 DJs Awards 2021” celebrations will go ahead as the event will take place in an intimate venue and will meet the midnight cut-off time outlined by the government. Furthermore, as a raucous crowd is expected to be in attendance, COVID-19 regulations are required to be adhered to in conjunction with official guidelines. In order to bring this number of fans together as one safely, visitors to the event will be required to provide proof of either of the following to gain entry. Attendees will be required to be between the period of the 15th and 180th day after having the virus, show proof of vaccination with a certificate, provide a negative result of an antigen rapid certificate or provide a negative PCR test result no older than 72 hours. These measures are essential for ALDA to ensure everyone enjoys a safe experience. For those unable to attend the event, proceedings will be live streamed on YouTube making sure fans don’t miss a moment of the madness that will ensue on 13 October. Tickets sales commence from 4 October 2021 at 16:00 CEST. For the “Top 100 DJs Awards 2021”, ALDA will be using the Close app. Therefore, people can only receive their ticket when they’ve downloaded the Close app which is required upon entry due to its connection with the CoronaCheck application.
