Tribbs meets K.Maro: A Legendary Anthem Reborn for the Dancefloor

On the 13th of December, TRIBBS, the mastermind who had his global breakthrough with ‘Let’s Get FKD Up’, a collaboration with Alok that generated over 200 million streams, returned to the airwaves with a reimagination of the legendary French anthem ‘Femme Like U’ by K.Maro, through the independent record label Play Two.
While he might seem like a fresh name to some, TRIBBS is a Polish powerhouse whose fingerprints are already all over the music industry. Behind the scenes, he’s been crafting hits for legends such as R3HAB and Oliver Heldens, and his rise toward fame began when he in 2022, turned the Polish music scene upside down with his modern rework of ‘Ostatni raz zatańczysz ze mną’ (translated: You Will Dance With Me A Last Time), Polish 80’s classic.
A track that didn’t just resonate with the audience but exploded – racking up over 95 million views on YouTube, propelling TRIBBS to 50 sold-out concerts across Poland, and landing him a global deal with Sony Music. By the end of the year, TRIBBS was crowned Poland’s #1 DJ, and has since then gained a wildly loyal TikTok following, and shared stages with heavyweights such as Tiësto, Acraze and Mike Williams.
K.Maro, the man behind the original ‘Femme Like U’ , has also left an incredible mark on the international music scene. His career took off in the mid-1990s as a part of LMDS (Les Messagers du Son), a French-language hip-hop duo. When LMDS disbanded, K.Maro pursued a solo career and ‘Femme Like U’ which was his major breakthrough, topped charts in countries and sold oved two million copies. The accompanying album ‘La Good Life‘, further secured his global stardom.
2024 has been a landmark year for K.Maro as he celebrated the 20th anniversary of ‘Femme Like U‘ with a range of projects and performances. To honor the legacy of the track, K.Maro released an EP titled Femme Like U (Femme Like U 20th Anniversary Tribute) that features fresh mixes by contemprorary artists such as W.A.N.O, Mƥnuella, Ingrid Bawab, Aleph, and Shy’m. During the year of 2024, K.Maro also published Renaissances, an autobiography, toured across continents and performed at locations such as Théâtre de Verdure in France, Dream Fest 2024 in Azerbadjan and MTELUS in Canada.
TRIBBS, whose reimagination of Femme Like U also is featured on K.Maro’s EP Femme Like U (20th Anniversary Tribute), delivers a standout track that breathes new life into the timeless hit. A true masterpiece that TRIBBS elevates it to the next level with his signature techno flair, crafting a fresh, club-ready version that’s destined to dominate dancefloors worldwide.
This mix brings a bold, adrenaline charging energy to the original, transforming it into an epic club item that bridges nostalgia with innovation. Whether you’re a fan of the original or a techno enthusiast looking for a new obsession, TRIBBS ‘Femme Like U 2024 Tribute Remix’, is guaranteed to move your body to the beat.

ELVIS Drops Groundbreaking Dance Track ‘Song v.1.0’

The future of music has arrived, and it’s got a beat like no other. ELVIS, a leader in neuroprosthetic innovation, has just released ‘Song v.1.0’, a dance track crafted from the decoded brain signals of a baboon.
Released on May 16 across all major streaming platforms, this historic release is set to electrify the music scene and redefine the relationship between mind and machine.
The track, born from a bold fusion of neuroscience and sound design, was created using neural data recorded from baboons. Researchers translated raw motor cortex activity into MIDI signals, which were then shaped into a pulsing, beat-driven composition by top electronic music producers. The result? A futuristic dance anthem powered by pure brainwaves, the first-ever track composed by a cyborg baboon.
‘Song v.1.0’ captures the rhythm of a new era, one where brains compose beats and healing meets inspiration. It’s a wild, mind-made track that’s already making waves among early listeners and scientists alike.

BLONDETING Unveils a New Direction with “I’m Calling (You)” and “AFTERPARTY”

South East London artist BLONDETING is stepping into her own sound with two new releases that reflect personal moments and real-world chaos. Known for her earlier liquid Drum and Bass work, she now offers something bolder, still intimate, but with a stronger pulse.
“I’m Calling (You)” Feels All Too Familiar
There’s a kind of silence that feels louder than words, and that’s what sits at the heart of “I’m Calling (You).” The song was written about trying to reach someone who won’t pick up, a situation that many know but rarely talk about. It’s not just about missed calls, but missed understanding.
She premiered the single live in Brighton at Volks, supporting Emily Makis during a night that highlighted women in DnB. The event also included previews of unreleased songs set to feature on her upcoming EP.
Compared to her past releases, this one leans into a rougher rhythm. But the softness in her vocals remains. That contrast creates tension, and it suits the theme of chasing someone who keeps slipping further away.
“AFTERPARTY” Captures What Comes After the Main Event
“AFTERPARTY” moves in a different direction. This piece isn’t about longing or silence. It’s about the rush of being completely lost in the night. The idea came from those moments when everything is loud and unpredictable, when your phone stays in your pocket and plans fall apart. You think you’ve missed something, but where you are feels more real than anything that was meant to happen.
The cover artwork captures this mood clearly. A dropped camera, cigarette ends, and scattered memories tell a story of a night that ran off course. It doesn’t rely on perfect recollection, only the feeling that something important happened.
From Intimate Rooms to Iconic Stages
BLONDETING has steadily expanded her reach as a live performer. Her name has appeared on lineups at venues such as The Roundhouse, Moth Club, and Colours Hoxton. She brought her voice to BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends, and her work has received consistent support from BBC Introducing London and BBC 6 Music.
Her release “Control (Watch Me)” was featured on BBC 6 Music’s unsigned artist roundtable and has been played on Jaguar’s BBC Radio 1 Dance Show. Most recently, she performed at the BBC Music Introducing showcase at Omeara, cementing her place as one of the scene’s most promising names.
Alongside her own work, she has collaborated as a writer, contributing to Lola Young’s “On The Radar” and showing that her creative range extends well beyond her solo catalogue.
What’s Ahead
With more unreleased pieces hinted at during her Brighton set and a full EP in progress, BLONDETING is continuing to shape her own path. Her focus is not on following trends but on making music that reflects how people actually feel.
Whether through the ache of being ignored or the high of a night that slips out of view, her work captures moments that are easy to overlook but hard to forget.

MIKOLAS Returns with Bold New Era, Drops “SAMBA” as First Single from Upcoming Album “II” and sells out Lucerna Great Hall in 7 minutes

One of the Czech Republic’s most streamed artists, MIKOLAS, launches a brand-new musical era with the release of his single SAMBA, the first track from his highly anticipated second studio album, II. Alongside this release, MIKOLAS announced his return show in Lucerna Great Hall (2500 capacity) which sold out in little over 7 minutes.
“I am both humbled and excited. Its a huge responsibility towards the fans and I know they are up for a great show. I cant wait.”
Following the triple platinum success of his debut album ONE (source: IFPI, released March 22, 2024), which just recently surpassed 120 million Spotify streams, SAMBA offers fans a taste of what’s next: the darker, fiercer alter ego version of MIKOLAS.
To celebrate, MIKOLAS hosted a grand VIP release party on April 24 in Prague – his first fan-centered live event in years. Fans were able to enter the event for free by signing up through his fan portal at www.mikolas.com. Announced just a week in advance, the night featured a live performance of MIKOLAS’s biggest hits, the live premiere of SAMBA, exclusive merchandise, welcome drinks for fans, and a personal meet & greet for the first 100 attendees.
In another surprise move, MIKOLAS unveiled his very own magazine, EMPIRE, during release week. Written in a personal diary style, he invites his fans into the inner circle and opens up directly to them.
“I wanted to create a one-of-a-kind, no-filter connection between me and the people who follow me on this crazy journey. And I love it.”
He shares an in-depth personal journal of the making of the album and the single SAMBA. He also speaks candidly about the struggles on his journey back to Eurovision, revealing that both SAMBA and DELILAH were considered for a return to the Eurovision stage. He breaks down the meaning of SAMBA, answers fan Q&As with advice on confidence, creativity, and the realities of chasing your dream. He lovingly dedicates the first issue to Parketa, MIKOLAS’s late tour manager, and Anna Slováčková, a friend and fellow artist – both of whom passed away recently.
The magazine invites readers into the mind of MIKOLAS, offering a rare and intimate perspective on his life and creative process. It is available through the fan portal on his website.
The single also carries a social message, with MIKOLAS dedicating SAMBA to single parents. After sharing a personal story of single parenthood in his family through EMPIRE, he says:
“It opened my eyes to just how real the struggle of single parents is. It’s not a side story—it’s everywhere. And it deserves attention.”
To close out a week of surprises, MIKOLAS announced during the release party that he will hit the Majáles Rap Stage in Prague on April 26 (Biggest festival in the Czech Republic) for the first public performance of SAMBA, marking his return to Czech festival stages with a brand-new energy.
His sophomore album II is expected to arrive later this year.
