Volkoder And Sam Supplier Team Up On Stellar Collab ‘Tornado’!

Volkoder and Sam Supplier team up to create the perfect storm on their forthcoming ‘Tornado’ collab via Fisher’s Catch & Release imprint. Within the last few years, the groove architect known as Volkoder has been responsible for a whirlwind of club-oriented house cuts that have become veritable weapons in the sets of trusted tastemakers from around the globe, including Luciano, Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Lee Foss, and more. His inclination for designing riveting tech house grooves is now being matched superbly by London’s house aficionado Sam Supplier. The revered radio host and producer syncs up with the Sao Paolo export on ‘Tornado’, culminating into an f5-level number marked by gusting shimmering synth progressions that twirl and tumble through throbbing basslines, ricocheting stabs, choppy vocal cues, and a bed of tightly wound percussion. It immediately caught the ear of Catch & Release label-boss Fisher—who has since kept it on heavy rotation in his sets—making the decision for him to cosign the record a no-brainer.

The precise moment Fish made that executive decision can be traced back to when he found out mid-set at the end-of-summer soiree ADOBE in the Park 2019 from Sam Supplier himself that the tune didn’t have a home yet. It was practically signed on the spot, pending a few kinks needed to be ironed out.

“It’s been a long road of secrecy without blurting my mouth about it while Fishers amazing team in LA where arranging all the sample clearance for all the original writers to get credited, who have all been so helpful & over the moon with this,” writes Supplier. “Then, Covid came in so we were all waiting all summer. but it’s NOW time.”

After keeping the track under lock and key for many months on end, the ID made the house community put on their detective hats to try to pinpoint the culprits. Now that the secret is out, the airwaves are starting to get caught up in the track’s high-speed winds, with support gushing in from all manner of artists from around the globe. Keep yourself strapped down, because Volkoder and Sam Supplier are blowing the lid off with this out-of-control collab.
