KSHMR, the enigmatic DJ and producer renowned for his unique blend of Indian-inspired melodies and electronic beats, has carved a niche for himself in the global dance music scene. While his name often graces the marquee of major festivals and chart-topping hits around the globe, his influence extends far beyond his own discography. Many may be surprised to discover that KSHMR has lent his production prowess to an array of tracks- let’s uncover them:
1. Tsunami – DVBBS, Borgeous
Released in 2014, this song was a collaboration between the Canadian DJ duo DVBBS and American DJ Borgeous. This track has become an anthem since it’s release, and KSHMR is listed secretly as a co-writer on it.
2. Stampede – Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, DVBBS, Borgeous
Now this track is a truly iconic collaboration. Preceding the previously mentioned DVBBS and Borgeous collab, ‘Stampede’ brought together some of the most popular artists in the industry at the time of its release in 2013. This song came out during the peak of the Golden Era of EDM (in my opinion), and is still played at shows and festivals across the world. Guess who else is listed as a co-writer and co-producer on this though? You guessed it- KSHMR.
3. Invincible – Borgeous
The next two tracks shouldn’t come as a surprise anymore. Even if you didn’t know the previously noted collaborations, you can probably start to see a pattern now. Borgeous’ 2014 hit ‘Invincible’ became a Top 10 Billboard success with a little help from KSHMR as his co-writer and co-producer.
4. Wildfire – Borgeous
This one is yet another Borgeous track that was co-produced and co-written by KSHMR. Yet another success for the duo, ‘Wildfire’ reached #14 on SiriusXM’s BPM Radio in 2014. This even led SiriusXM to give Borgeous a residency of his own on their new weekly podcast, ‘House of Borgeous’.
5. Body Down (Inspector Gadget) – MORTEN
Now this secret collab was a complete shock to me. Perhaps I can’t picture MORTEN collaborating with anybody else except David Guetta right now (shout out Future Rave!), but I kind of love this duo. Danish DJ and producer MORTEN has become known for his incredibly innovative and trademarked sound over the years, and this track released in 2016 did not fall short of expectations- with a little help from co-producer KSHMR.
