Daft Punk passes 18 billion Spotify streams five years after their split as their catalogue continues reaching major milestones

Five years after Daft Punk ended their 28-year run together, millions of people are still streaming the duo’s music every month. Songs from different points in their career continue reaching major Spotify milestones, even without new music from Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. In October 2026, Daft Punk passed 18 billion credited Spotify streams, while several tracks and albums reached major figures during the same year. Around 27.5 million monthly listeners are still playing their music today.

The Weeknd Collaborations Account for a Huge Share of the Total

Two of the biggest contributors to that 18 billion figure came near the end of Daft Punk’s career through their work with The Weeknd. Released on his 2016 album Starboy, the title track has now passed 4.8 billion streams, while I Feel It Coming is above 2.3 billion. Together, the two songs have generated more than 7.1 billion streams, accounting for close to 40% of the total credited to Daft Punk.

Those collaborations also became the last major releases Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo made with another artist before the duo split in 2021. Nearly a decade after Starboy was released, both songs continue attracting millions of plays and remain among the most-streamed tracks connected to Daft Punk.

Older Daft Punk Tracks Are Still Reaching New Milestones

Outside those two collaborations, Daft Punk’s own releases continue pulling in hundreds of millions of streams. Get Lucky has passed 1.4 billion Spotify streams, while One More Time is only a few million away from 1 billion. Instant Crush has also crossed 900 million, giving songs from both Discovery and Random Access Memories some of the largest totals in the duo’s catalogue.

Music from their earlier albums is still being played heavily too. Around the World from Homework and Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger from Discovery have both passed 500 million streams. Songs released across the late 1990s, 2000s and 2010s are therefore continuing to reach major figures in 2026, almost six years after the duo ended.

Daft Punk’s Biggest Albums Continue Passing New Spotify Milestones

The album numbers tell a similar story, with Discovery passing 3 billion Spotify streams in September 2026. The 10th Anniversary Edition of Random Access Memories then passed 3.2 billion in October, giving two of the duo’s best-known albums major streaming milestones within weeks of each other.

Homework is also approaching 900 million streams, while the TRON: Legacy soundtrack has passed 800 million. Together, those figures show that listeners are still playing complete releases from several different periods of Daft Punk’s career, not only the songs that dominate their Spotify page.

More than five years after the split, Daft Punk still has tens of millions of monthly listeners and songs released decades apart reaching new milestones. Their final studio album came out in 2013, yet their music continues attracting millions of streams every day. For a duo that officially ended in 2021, those numbers show how strongly the catalogue continues to perform without a reunion or new studio material.
