Groove Cruise Miami will return to the breathtaking location of Labadee – a Royal Caribbean private destination on Haiti’s northern coast – following the cruise’s last sailing there for Groove Cruise Miami 2023. Labadee was voted by Groove Cruise’s previous Captains as their favorite destination due to the location’s coral reefs, pristine sands, and the crystal blue water which created the perfect destination for the beach party. From endless relaxation spots across five stretches of beach to a half-mile-long zip line ride over the ocean to Labadee’s Dragon’s Tail roller coaster, there will be no shortage of soul-nourishing activities on Labadee for Captains to witness and explore.

Outside of organizing unforgettable parties, Groove Cruise also runs its own non-profit 501c3 organization, the Whet Foundation. Started by Whet Travel‘s founder Jason Beukema, Whet Foundation seeks to impact the communities visited by Whet Travel cruises, inviting cruise attendees to donate and volunteer at their events. The foundation gives back to local communities supplying clothing, food, school donations, beach and community cleanups, painting and art programs, and providing facility repair and improvement costs.

The Groove Cruise Miami 2025 announcement comes ahead of the event’s sold-out 20th anniversary sailing from Miami to Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas on Wednesday, January 24 – Sunday, January 28, 2024. The Grammys Finally Get It: Inside the 2026 Electronic Music Nominations

Unknown's avatar

Published

The 2026 Grammy nominations are here, and the electronic world’s actually paying attention this time. What used to feel like a box the Academy had to check finally looks like a real snapshot of the artists shaping the sound right now. It’s a far cry from 2023, when Beyoncé’s Renaissance win had the scene questioning if the Grammys understood dance music at all.

This year’s list tells a different story — one that actually celebrates the producers, collaborators, and innovators defining where electronic music is headed.

Best Dance/Electronic Recording

Nominees:

  • No Cap — Disclosure & Anderson .Paak

  • Victory Lap — Fred again.., Skepta & PlaqueBoyMax

  • SPACE INVADER — KAYTRANADA

  • VOLTAGE — Skrillex

  • End of Summer — Tame Impala

This year’s nominees blends legends and left-field picks. Skrillex turns up the VOLTAGE, Fred again.. links with Skepta, and Disclosure teams with Anderson .Paak for a dose of groove. KAYTRANADA brings the polish, and Tame Impala drifts in with hazy, psychedelic flair.

Best Dance/Electronic Album

Nominees:

  • EUSEXUA — FKA twigs

  • Ten Days — Fred again..

  • Fancy That — PinkPantheress

  • Inhale / Exhale — RÜFÜS DU SOL

  • F— U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3 — Skrillex

Now, this may be the most exciting Grammy lineup in years: FKA twigs blurs art and club culture, Fred again.. stays cinematic, PinkPantheress lands her first nod, RÜFÜS DU SOL polish things up, and Skrillex turns chaos into something brilliant (as always).

Best Remixed Recording

Nominees:

  • Abracadabra (Gesaffelstein Remix) — Lady Gaga, Gesaffelstein

  • Don’t Forget About Us (KAYTRANADA Remix) — Mariah Carey & KAYTRANADA

  • A Dream’s a Dream (Ron Trent Remix) — Soul II Soul

  • Galvanize (Chris Lake Remix) — The Chemical Brothers & Chris Lake

  • Golden (David Guetta REM/X) — HUNTR/X; EJAE, Audrey Nuna, REI AMI

The Remix category sits between nostalgia and reinvention— Gesaffelstein’s dark take on Gaga, KAYTRANADA’s soulful spin on Mariah, Ron Trent’s groove, Chris Lake’s Galvanize reboot, and Guetta’s glossy Golden.

What It Says About Where Dance Music Is Now

Three years ago, the conversation around the Grammys and dance music was about validation — who gets it, and who deserves it. This year, it’s about representation. The nominees span underground roots, chart-topping polish, and everything in between. They’re proof that the Academy’s finally starting to understand that electronic music isn’t a trend — it’s the foundation of modern sound.

Final Thoughts

For once, the Grammy spotlight doesn’t feel misplaced. It feels earned. The artists in these categories aren’t just borrowing from electronic music — they are electronic music. And for the first time in a long time, the Grammys seem to know the difference.

Inside HALŌ: The Progressive Supergroup Formed by Third Party, DubVision, and Matisse & Sadko

What started as a few surprise back-to-back sets across Asia and Europe has grown into one of the most anticipated collaborations in progressive house. Third Party, DubVision, and Matisse & Sadko have officially joined forces as HALŌ, a supergroup that came together after a year of shared festival stages, steady fan support, and mutual respect for melodic production. After appearances at NEON Music Festival, World DJ Festival, Tomorrowland, and ADE, the trio are now preparing for their debut show at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam in March 2026, marking a major moment for the genre worldwide.

The Story Behind HALŌ

The collaboration between Third Party, DubVision, and Matisse & Sadko grew naturally through a series of festival appearances that kept putting them on the same stages. In early 2025, Matisse & Sadko and DubVision played an unannounced back-to-back in China that drew attention across fan communities. Soon after, the three acts shared the lineup at NEON Music Festival Kuala Lumpur, where they performed a joint set alongside Hardwell and ARTBAT. From that point, their names kept appearing together on lineups across Asia and Europe, including World DJ Festival, Tomorrowland Belgium, Tomorrowland Brasil, and ADE Amsterdam.

Each appearance showed how easily their styles connected, creating the kind of progressive house moments that fans had been missing from mainstage lineups. As anticipation grew throughout the year, the trio officially introduced HALŌ, confirming their debut show at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam for March 2026. The announcement felt like a natural step forward for three artists whose paths had been aligning long before the name was revealed.

Revisiting Their Roots

Each member of HALŌ brings years of experience and a distinct sound that has helped shape modern progressive house. Third Party, the British duo behind Release Records, built a reputation through melodic tracks and emotionally connected performances that have made them a steady name across club and festival stages. DubVision, Dutch brothers Victor and Stephan Leicher, are known for their clear production style and tracks such as Turn It Around and Backlash, both of which remain highlights in many mainstage sets. Matisse & Sadko, brothers from Russia, developed their reputation through a long creative partnership with Martin Garrix, contributing to Dragon, Together, and Forever, songs that brought a renewed melodic sound to global audiences. Together as HALŌ, they combine their individual strengths into a project that captures what each act has always done best, creating music built on melody, emotion, and connection with listeners around the world.

The Progressive House Comeback

The creation of HALŌ comes at a moment when progressive house is starting to regain attention after spending a few years outside the spotlight. As trends shifted toward tech house and heavier festival sounds, many fans began searching for something with more melody and feeling. The timing of HALŌ fits naturally within that shift, not as a look back but as a fresh step forward through artists who never moved away from the genre. Their performances throughout 2025 showed that strong songwriting and clear melodic structure can still connect with large crowds just as much as any big-room drop.

What makes this comeback stand out is that it is being led by names who have shaped the sound for more than a decade. Third Party, DubVision, and Matisse & Sadko continue to build on the same foundation they started with, adapting it for a new audience while keeping the emotion and precision that define their music. It shows that progressive house is not a passing trend or a nostalgic return but a sound that still has space to grow and reach new listeners.

Beyond HALŌ — What Comes Next

Following their debut announcement, many are watching to see how HALŌ will evolve beyond the stage. Each member has an extensive history of collaborations, including work with Martin Garrix, Sick Individuals, and other mainstage regulars, which opens possibilities for future projects or label partnerships. With their first live show confirmed for March 2026 at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, it seems likely that new music and a full festival run will follow. Whether through original releases, extended sets, or creative crossovers, HALŌ has already positioned itself as one of the most anticipated acts to shape the next phase of progressive house.

Closing Reflection

The rise of HALŌ represents a meaningful moment for modern progressive house. It unites three acts with long-standing influence, a shared vision, and genuine onstage chemistry that fans have connected with around the world. Their formation signals that melody-based music is not a remnant of the past but a sound that continues to evolve, finding new relevance in today’s festival landscape. As HALŌ prepares for its first chapter, the project stands as proof that progressive house still has more to say.
