New EDM Friday: Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, R3HAB, Timmy Trumpet & More!

Hardwell – Dopamine
Having made his triumphant return at Ultra Music Festival in March, Hardwell is delivering yet another dose of big room techno from his upcoming album. Titled ‘Dopamine’, the 5th single from ‘Rebels Never Die’, Hardwell shows us yet again why he is one of the big-time players in the EDM scene as he blends elements of big room, trance, future rave, and techno which results in a jaw-dropping anthem sure to destroy dancefloors across the globe.

The Chainsmokers – So Far, So Good (Album)
Having taken a 3-year break to rediscover their direction, The Chainsmokers made their return in an outstanding way as they delivered ‘High’, the first single from their now released ‘So Far, So Good’ album. Containing 13 singles, this new album showcases a fresh sound from the American duo whilst also staying true to the sound that we’ve come to love from them. Packed with hit after hit, this album is yet another perfect addition to their top-of-the-range discography.

CyTreXX – Take Me Away Tonight
Showcasing his broad talents within the studio, CyTreXX treats us to an amazing funky single in the form of ‘Take Me Away Tonight’. Much like his previous singles, the Canadian producer uses natural and authentic elements and blends them with electronic sounds and vocals to create a unique end product. With a funky low end taking most of the attention, it’s in the subtle and playful vocal robot-styled samples that this single shines. Press play on this single and try to not dance as this one is certainly going to get you in that party mood.

Armin van Buuren, Avira & Chicane – Offshore
Off the back of turning heads with their three-track ‘Hollow Mask Illusion’ EP and their recent reimagination of The Alan Parsons Project’s ‘Sirius’, Armin van Buuren and AVIRA link up with none other than Ibiza Trance legend Chicane to reimagine one of his most revered classics. Retaining the Balearic essence of the 1996 original, this equally timeless interpretation of ‘Offshore’ pays tribute to the legacy of the genre whilst illustrating to perfection that its future has never been brighter.

Chris Lake & Cloonee – Nightmares
Two names who can’t stop delivering hit after hit, Chris Lake and Cloonee come together for the first time on ‘Nightmares’. With a dark vibe throughout, the track opens with the sound of a clock ticking the moments away and a childlike voice bidding “good morning”. The innocent façade is quickly shattered as the voice reveals its identity: a character from your nightmare who wants to “play”. Fueled by a steady, sizzling beat, big brassy tones, and a futuristic blipping melody, ‘Nightmares’ is the audio equivalent of a chilling horror film, condensed into less than three minutes.
