Nicky Romero & Timmo Hendriks – Into The Light
After a massive year of releases in 2020, Nicky Romero kicks off the new year by combining with fellow Protocol Recordings member, Timmo Hendriks. The two artists are no strangers in the studio, with Timmo being credited for co-producing on multiple singles released by Nicky in 2020. Now coming together for their first official single, the paid of artists do not disappoint with a fresh progressive house anthem.
Topic, ATB, A7S – Your Love (9pm)
Legendary German producer/DJ/songwriter ATB teams up with Topic and A7S on ‘Your Love (9pm)’ – the first-ever official remake of ATB’s breakthrough 1998 hit, ‘9pm (Till I Come)’. Working together in a German studio, ATB and Topic flawlessly blended their musical styles to create the track, along with A7S, who finalized the lyrics via video call.
Detunne, M4LY & RKSN – Open My Mind
This weeks release comes from the returning Detunne who has previously released two huge records here on the label, one of which was one of our very first releases as a label with fellow collaborator of this track M4LY. This time they are here as a trio in the company of RKSN who was behind the very impressive ‘All You Have’ record with Rimbano that we released last year. ‘Open My Mind’ is where its at right now and it perfectly follows on from ‘I Need To See’ with its addictive pluck lead the main element in the drop combined with its grungy baseline and distorted sweeps.
Steve Aoki & k?d – BIB
Even though 2020 threw a lot of stuff at us that we weren’t expecting, a collab between Steve Aoki and k?d in 2021 ranks high among those things we weren’t expecting. The two artists combine seamlessly on ‘BIB’ and it makes us wonder why it’s taken so long for then to combine. With a high tempo and infectious synths all around, this one is sure to be a party starter.
Afrojack pres. Kapuchon x Sven Fields – Ey
Alongside releasing hits as Afrojack, van de Wall continued to craft house and techno music under his Kapuchon moniker behind the scenes; and now he’s ready to release his new production for the world to hear. This time he teamed up with Dutch DJ/Producer Sven Fields. Resulting in the fierce banger ‘Ey’, out now on the newly formed Kapuchon Records.
KSHMR, Karra – The World We Left Behind
Multi-platinum awarded DJ/Producer KSHMR releases the first single of his highly anticipated upcoming album ‘I Will be A Lion’ set to be released in March of 2021. The first single is called ‘The World We Left Behind’ and features amazing vocals by KARRA. ‘The World We Left Behind’ is a catchy dance-pop track that will make you press repeat.
