Released 10 Years Ago: David Guetta – Titanium (Alesso Remix)

2011 was an incredible year for electronic dance music with releases such as ‘Levels’, ‘Antidote’, ‘Toulouse’, ‘Zero 76’, and many more. One highly notable track was the collaboration between David Guetta and Sia, ‘Titanium’. This single went on to dominate the radio waves and club scene, gaining over 2 billion streams in the making. With such a successful original, who would dare remix it? Step in Swedish maestro Alesso. The Swede took this radio-friendly dance track and turned it into a main room progressive anthem. Blending pop vocals with uplifting melodies and powerful synths made for a stellar remix for the ages.

Hailing from Stockholm, Alesso won over the masses from the very start of his career with every release proving to be just as good as the last. His second single as the lead artist, 2012’s ‘Calling (Losing My Mind)’ with the legendary Swedish House Mafia’s Sebastian Ingrosso and Grammy award-winning OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder, was certified 2x Platinum in Sweden while also reaching #1 on Billboard’s US Hot Dance Club Songs.
