SoundCloud And Twitch Launch SoundCloud Sessions As A New Recurring Series For Emerging DJs And Creators

SoundCloud and Twitch have launched SoundCloud Sessions, a new recurring performance series created to support emerging DJs and creators through live digital performances and continued music discovery. The collaboration brings together Twitch’s live music community with SoundCloud’s discovery ecosystem, giving DJs a way to play live, connect with audiences in real time, and continue reaching listeners after the livestream ends. Launching with performances from Jessu, Conrad Taylor, DJ Ken Dollaz, and more, SoundCloud Sessions focuses on helping newer creators gain visibility through Twitch’s DJ Program, SoundCloud editorial support, newsletter inclusion, social amplification, and future promotional opportunities across both platforms.

SoundCloud Sessions Creates A New Path For DJ Discovery

With SoundCloud Sessions, SoundCloud and Twitch are giving emerging DJs a livestream series that does not stop at the end of the set. DJs will play live through Twitch’s DJ Program, where audiences can discover them in real time, interact during the stream, and connect with the communities forming around live music on the platform. The first round features Jessu, Conrad Taylor, DJ Ken Dollaz, and more, with SoundCloud continuing the push after the livestream through editorial coverage, social amplification, newsletter placements in Weekly Download and Dusk Till Dawn, and future promotional opportunities across the platform. For DJs trying to grow outside traditional venues and festivals, the series gives them a place to play live first, then stay visible through SoundCloud’s wider discovery network after new listeners have already heard the set.

The launch also arrives alongside strong growth for electronic music across SoundCloud, where the platform’s latest Music Intelligence Report lists electronic music as one of its fastest growing genres globally. The report also shows a 39 percent year over year increase for #DJset, pointing to the way listeners are using the platform to follow full sets, online scenes, and creator led communities. SoundCloud also highlighted hard techno and UK Garage as scenes continuing to grow through direct creator to listener engagement, which gives SoundCloud Sessions a clear place within the platform’s current direction. By pairing Twitch’s live music audience with SoundCloud’s editorial, newsletter, social, and promotional support, the series gives emerging DJs more than one livestream slot. It gives them a path from real time audience interaction to continued discovery across both platforms.

SoundCloud And Twitch Put Emerging Creators At The Center

For Eliah Seton, CEO of SoundCloud, the partnership is about turning live DJ moments into something that can travel further across digital platforms. In his statement, Seton said SoundCloud Sessions pairs Twitch’s live digital stage with SoundCloud’s discovery ecosystem, bringing “the energy of a live performance straight to the screen” while giving emerging DJs a way to grow beyond one physical setting. The quote fits the larger purpose of the series because many newer DJs already use livestreams, uploads, and online communities to reach people before they have access to larger clubs, festivals, or touring opportunities.

That creator first angle is where SoundCloud Sessions adds another layer to the partnership. A live set on Twitch gives DJs immediate audience contact, but SoundCloud gives those same creators a place where listeners can return to their mixes, follow their releases, and stay connected to the scenes they are part of. It also keeps the focus on the type of artists SoundCloud has long been associated with: emerging names, independent creators, underground communities, and genre scenes gaining attention before they fully enter the mainstream. For DJs coming through spaces like hard techno, UK Garage, and other electronic communities growing online, the series offers a clearer bridge between playing live for an audience and building a presence that lasts beyond the stream.

As livestreaming becomes a bigger part of how DJs reach audiences beyond clubs and festivals, SoundCloud Sessions gives SoundCloud and Twitch a recurring format that reflects how electronic music communities are already growing online. The series brings live audience interaction, platform discovery, and creator support into one place, giving emerging DJs another way to reach listeners across both platforms. For SoundCloud, it also reinforces the platform’s connection to new music scenes and independent creators, while Twitch continues expanding its role in live digital music. With its first performances led by Jessu, Conrad Taylor, DJ Ken Dollaz, and more, SoundCloud Sessions begins as a creator focused series with room to become a stronger discovery channel for DJs and electronic music communities.
