STVG & Kill Ebola Drop Heavy Dubstep Trap Metal Cross Over
STVG follows up on his recent TYNAN collaboration with a heavy tearout, metal, ragecore fusion track alongside legendary, underground vocalist, Kill Ebola.
Known for creating some of the darkest and heaviest music in their respective genres, STVG and Kill Ebola do not disappoint with a new track that lives up to the brutality of both their
discographies. The song’s intro throws you into a visceral, industrial soundscape, accompanied by sinister vocal screams from Kill Ebola. A tension-laden build section then leads into a drop that to describe as heavy is an understatement. A barrage of contorted and screechy synths, complemented with piercing, half-timed drums result in a slow, brooding wall of sound. The track then progresses into a rhythmically-fueled display of metallic sound design backed by a conventional drum pattern, all whilst maintaining the track’s high energy. Once the carnage of the drop disperses, the track flows effortlessly into a metal breakdown, showcasing STVG’s versatility in production, once again backed by the chilling vocals of Kill Ebola. The second drop serves as a successor to the first’s progression, continuing with the brutal heaviness in a slower tempo. The climax of the track sees both artists making the soundscape even darker, with chilling production and vocals on display, closing out a track that is pure horror from start to finish.

‘NOTHING LEFT’ continues to showcase STVG’s masterful production, serving as a followup to a collaboration that he released last year with renowned Scarlxrd producer, MUPPY titled ‘GUILLOTINE PT. 2’. These tracks show STVG breaking genre boundaries of dubstep and trap metal alike. We caught up with STVG who had this to say on the track.
What was your general thought process when it came to creating this track?
“When I write music, heaviness comes first, but even more so with this track. I always want to outdo myself, so I really tried to push this one to its limits and make it as hectic as possible. Originally, Kill Ebola was not featured, the skeleton of the track was already finished, However as soon as he and I started talking about collaborating I knew he belonged on this track; in fact, the intro draws a lot of inspiration from one of his older songs. Once I got his vocals into the track it just made sense and I knew we had to make a ragecore section.”
This track is a display of multiple types of heavy music, is it important for you to break the boundaries of “genre” or are you simply having fun with what you’re creating?
“It’s definitely a mixture of both. I think that tearout and ragecore are very complimentary genres of music, they’re both extremely heavy and emotive. A lot of artists that I have spoken to from ragecore love heavy electronic music, and as someone who has been heavily involved in both since my early teen years, it makes sense for me to combine them together. The important part is to do it in a tasteful manner, a way in which they compliment each other.”
What was it like working with Kill Ebola?
“It’s an honour and I won’t try to downplay it at all. His music has been such a big inspiration to my sound for years. He’s easily one of the most iconic artists the genre has ever seen, I never thought that I would be able to make a song with him, let alone make something as heavy as we did. One of the reasons why I am so enamored by Kill’s music is because of how raw and honest it is; I’ve always strived to give my music that same feeling.”
What can we expect next from you?
“Along with Kill, I want to keep collaborating with artists I love from other genres. I’m definitely going to keep pushing myself to make the best music I can, regardless of what genre it is. As long as it’s heavy, I’m happy.”
Fans can mark their calendars for Friday June 13th when ‘NOTHING LEFT’ releases on all major stores and streaming platforms.
